Re: Pics of Mac 26M without mast (motor Boat)
Hello All! After wrenching the back both handling the ropes and dealing with the mast - we are thinking about a perma demasting and keeping our Mac X as a powerboat. I have read everyone's comments about their demasted Macs but I have a few more questions. I understand the gas savings, the room, etc...

Is there a Travelor/Boom Vang Kit for the Mac 26x?
Hello all and hope you enjoyed a nice Fourth of July Holiday!
Has anyone found a place to purchase a traveler for our 26x's? I checked both BWY and Macgregor's website and could not find one. We want to get a boom vang and traveler going so we can have a higher bimini in the cockpit.
Thanks-

Will a Mac 26x plane with the ballast full and a 50 hp?
Hello, we are wanting to keep the ballast tank full for safety but we do not know if the boat will plane or what kind of speed, if we want it, we can expect with the tank full. (We have a 50 hp Mercury 4 stroke that was surveyed and alleged to be in fine working order and the first time we put it in...

Re: Whats Next ?
And do not forget the 'insta pop up pilothouse' to keep us comfy on rainy days and the 'push out bathroom' kind of like the rooms on motorhomes only this one is so amazing it can push water aside as it expands to accomodate the elbows and knees of a tall man. I was recently sailing on a 47' Nauticat...

Re: Ambiance-No Power Tool, Inexpensive window shades
Sorry, I understood the word modification to mean 'to change something' and did not think this applied. Will put ideas under 'mods' from now on. This was a borrowed idea simplified even further.

Re: I found a great product for cleaning our boat cushions
Hello, Iused this product for the interior fabric and was happy with the results. However, I posted a disclaimer because I am not sure how your fabric will react. I DID NOT put the fabric covers in the dryer. My emphasis here is on the safety of this product, especially compared to bleach. I have ha...

and upholstry. I do not own stock in this company either. This is a non toxic, natural, biodegradable product that has cleaned up our mildewed boat cushions and original Mac uphostry beautifully. I am highly sensitive to bleach and most other chemicals so I gave this a try. Disclaimer : I cannot say...

How are your Marine Heads working out?
Tim Bastian appeared to have done a nice installation job. Now I am wondering-how is it and others working out? How much water does it take to flush? Are they holding up? How much more space are they taking up compared with a porta potty? We have a 24 gallon badder serving both galley and head. Will...

Re: Is there suppossed to be flotation under the dinette table?
That makes sense as the manual specifically states we are not to remove any flotation-WE WILL PUT IT ELSEWHERE as we would like this space for storage. Thanks!
