Main Sail

My wife and I had problems raising the sail all the way on our M just as you described. The reason we had raising the main all the way was that we had the main sheet pulled in too far. We did this to keep the boom from swinging around on the way out. The problem was it pulls the boom down too far to...

Thanx for posting the great pic's. My wife and I live just a few miles from lake mead and we are getting our new mac on the 25 of this month. I have just started to look for other places to tow out to and spend some time. We moved from southern california and I used to sail out of newport beach and ...

Wow...thanx for all the input guys. You folks do your homework. I feel the 50 will be large enough for me, as my last boat - an old venture - only had a 7 hp on it. 6 gal of gas goes along way with one of those. I am looking forward to doing a bit more than 5 kts and the extra speed will open up alo...

Thank you for the input guys. I am not sure if the dealer has some sort of incentive to install the E-tec or not, but he sure does like them. I am kind of unsure about the new two stroke. I was told it had a smaller profile than the merc. It was aslo able to tilt up without lifting the rear seat/swi...

I will have to do some research into what type of prop to use assuming I have a say in it. any help here would be greatfully accepted. Thanks again I just cant wait to get the new girl o...

New Boat motor options

I am in the process of selecting options for our new M. The dealer here favors the new Evenrude E-tec 50 HP two stroke. I have no experience with this motor. The numbers look good and it is EPA 2006 certified. I would like to know if anyone has experience with this motor. Is it quite? Fuel usage? Do...

New 06M

My wife and I just put our deposit on a new M yesterday. The one that we test sailed was a new 06( splashed three days prior). the only thing that I saw that was diff was that the gally counter top was the same color as the linner instead of the corion looking finish. I was told that is the way they...
