Re: NIssan 90 prop pitch
grnwtcruzn, First, Nissan is simply a rebadged Tohatsu. We run a 2004 Tohatsu TLDI 90 on an M. We started with a 14" diameter X 13" pitch prop. Semi-lightly loaded, no ballast, the engine would only get to 48-4900rpm, wide open throttle, out of the 5200-5800 factory recommendation. I don'...

Roller Furling for My 26X

Tomorrow I'm scheduled to get the CDI fuller and foil system. Wednesday, weather permitting, installation. Thanks to all, especially Dave B, for advice on s...

Re: Tender behind
I don't have a tender, but there have been times when I wish I had one.
I do pull my kids behind Alpha Sail often. This is from about 2 weeks ago before the water started getting too cold in Kemah, Tx.

Re: To rebuild or not to rebuild? What a F@&%ing question!
Have you thought about finding some highschool student looking to make a little cash?
You could play supervisor. At $10-$20 per hour plus parts, you get a good working motor for $100-200 and sell it for $1000.
New the 50HP Tohatsu costs about $5100 plus installation.
Good luck.

I just got a 26X as well and will be using it in Kemah. Maybe I'll see you out there! The PO already named my boat "Surfer Girl". Awesome. Congrat's. I keep my boat at a mast-up storage place right on the water; FM 2094. I've counted 6 MAC's in that place at least...and a few next door in...
