Re: Never, ever wax my glass off again

Rarely ever any cloud in Perth and temps over 40C (104F) for days on end :?
I would think the UV would be particularly high.

Thanks for all the advice. I will give it a try as nothing else is working :(

Re: Never, ever wax my glass off again

Mac26paul - sun in Perth is brutal. My raccoon stripes look terrible. Do you think any point in trying Newglass2?

I am finding it impossible to keep them from getting cloudy.

Yep. Only the one bent so will replace and go with wooden down in both. Thanks for the tip.

Re: Skippers Seat just doesn't work

+1 for removing the seat altogether. There is a lot more room and I have not noticed any increase in engine noise. Sometimes I find it easier to see and steer actually standing in the lower section which you can't do with the seat in place.

Re: C Head Composting toilets

We only us our C-head every 2-3 weekends and it works fine. I take the urine jug home, empty under my fruit trees, rinse out and it is ready to go again.

I do spray household cleaner on the urine collection funnel section and wipe over as part of our pickup up and clean up at the end of an outing.

Re: porta pottie

+1 for ditching the ports potty. Worst device ever invented. Has ruined more outings on our boat than anything else including flat batteries, running aground and being collided by another boat. At least in all these events me and the boat did not end up covered in 3 day old urine :( We have C-head a...

Re: C Head Composting toilets

I have the C-head and it is brilliant. Easy to installed. Very comfortable :) and absolutely no smell. It uses off the shelf plastic jugs for urine and I keep a couple on board. As one fills I just cap it and replace with empty. Back at the marina pour down the toilet. Only use weekends and it has b...
