I went to the store and bought some wooden yardsticks. Cut them to length and put a coat of epoxy and one layer of 3/4 ounce fiberglass. Lasted 3 years until I bought new sail last week for Red. Come down and take some pics of my boats and see them for yourself. I think you will find it is not too complicated and first hand exposure will get you in the water faster

Lake Gaston NC . I keep a V-24 in the water year round. Another on a trailer. A 13 foot Ghost on a ramp in the back yard , a V 22 on trailer being redone and a Fast Blue 26 M on the trailer for trips to Outer banks of NC and other interior lakes . Bought one unseen . It is at a friends house in Wilmington NC . Blue and all hardware removed for cleaning and painting deck .

Why not just buy a boat that is big enough live in it for the year and then sale it when you are ready to move. You can buy a big boat cheaper than rent !

Chances are whwn you step the mast it will close the gap with no problem. If you block it up you may have to lengthen your shrouds to reach the chainplates

The vortex generators on a wing operate with air that is traveling along the swept wing . It would not help on a mast
