The dock bottoms out and there is a nasty dropoff at the bottom of the concrete.Very low tides are in store early in the am on June 20/21 (This may not apply, since the date has been changed to Sept. 19-20) . And from noo...

Frank C - I have put my antenna on the mast support arch. I have been in Bimini and received weather on the hand held VHF (55 miles away). The National Weather Service 155 mHz transmitters are at least 200 watts and I bet the ones in Miami are leased on the TV towers that top out at 1000 feet. Your...

Bye bye TV
Hope you all realize that traditional over-the-air TV in two years is going to go bye bye. I have elected not to wire TV and antenna into my boat, because NTSC TV is about to phase out. Unless you have an new ATSC (commonly, incorrectly called HDTV) tuner or converter, your TV will not work after Fe...

The last 5 Sundays (and damn near every day since Xmas) have been winds out of the north. Hard winds offshore, and nasty chop out there. Smooth water and 10-15 mph winds right at the surf line. Monday at Point Sequit, at sunset, I saw a beautiful 30-foot sloop on a tight reach, mainsail battened, no...

I'll meet you in the sand and buy you a soda at Paradise Cove.

The label on my Coleman stove plainly warns against its use in an enclosed area. The Mac 26X is enclosed. The warning is correct. Period. I also never ...
