I too had a leak into the aft berth in my 1999 26x. I managed to follow the water leak all the way back to aft and dicovered that I had hair line cracks in my drain well with water dripping from the bottom. In my opinion your boat was subjected to some sort of agent in the water when you probably last sailed her. The agent was most likely a grease like substance which adhered to your bottom paint but not the gunwhale finish. Think of it as a gucky somewhat diluted tar based substance (like that in the ...

Thanks for the good advise kmclemore. Although it is extremely light weight and small, the EU1000i is somewhat low-powered and you're likely to hit situations where you wished you'd had the larger EU2000i. Indeed, if I'd had it to do all over again, I'd have bought an EU2000i instead of the EU1000i....

Do you or for that matter, does any body have any experience with the Honda EU200i or the EU1000i generator/inverter? I appreciate that they are expensive but am wondering if they re worth it as I do quite a few all day hauls and expect to do 2/3 day ones next year.
