Of course you may also be talking about the leech cord that is actually inside the aft end of the mainsail. I'm not sure how you'd fix that one.

That's your topping lift. Your boat may not have come with one. Mine did not. I drilled a hole through the rear of the masthead. Have you checked you keel pivot bolt and seals? That would be the first thing to check. Not sure how often the keel trunk itself would leak. It seems like it would take an awefully bad impact to make that happen.

Also check to see if there is any water coming in around the keel lock bolt.
