Here is a link to that thruster setup.

Re: Fueling while on trailer
Costco gas stations have extra long hoses so you can easily fuel from the "wrong" side of your car. besides I save hundreds a year fueling there. I bring an 8' ladder just to make things simple, I don't have to climb into the cockpit that way. I also use my boat hook to bring the nozzle ac...

Re: Leaks in waves/heavy air
In the 26M we have a dagger board. When I am using my motor at speed water siphons up the dagger board trunk and right out onto the deck. My thought is that at higher speeds water may siphon up higher into your trunk and reaching a damaged area. It might not happen at lower speeds.

Re: Remove Bulkhead Compass
I would just add an inspection port, there are many available from Amazon.com. I use one for storage, I have my paperwork in it, easy to get to and dry.

I use the Zodi as well. When my homes water heater went out it made a great backup.

Re: Full Enclosure Price?
Well, turns out I had to cancel that order. They only have patterns for 26Ms with the rear seats installed. I have no children and would never fit in one of those seats so I don't want them. I have made some calls to local canvas shops. Besides, since I don't sail much anymore I want a lot of headro...

Full Enclosure Price?
I have the 26M and need a full enclosure. How much did you spend on yours? I am getting quotes from $3K to $5K which seems like a wide spread. If you are in SoCal and like yours, where did you get it?

Re: stereo recommendations?
Here is what I came up with. My speaker placement has proved to be excellent, versatile and really quite simple to install.

Re: Long Beach Ca
The best ramp is past the Queensway bridge. It is called South Shore Launch Ramp. $12 a day last time I was there. Lots of pull through spaces with plenty of room for our rigs. Never came close to scraping my mast on the bridge, plenty of clearance at high tide. The channel is well marked but there ...

New Yamaha 70
Alas, after 9 years my Evinrude 60 tossed a ring and must be retired. I figure rebuilding a 9 year old engine is a bad investment. Yamaha has a new 70 horse engine and is providing a nice discount to promote it. Seems like the right fit for my 26M. Unlike the Evinrude this engine will require 8 hour...

Re: Source for Mastlight 2-pin Connector?
I just ordered mine through Amazon: Marpac Polarized Power Outlet. I no longer use my mast for trips to Catalina. I also have knee problems, so I have a plan. I am designing a pole which will clip into the mast foot. It will have a solid rod to the pulpit and a line to the gallows. This will give me...

Re: Pants ripper
I ripped a pair of jeans and put on the caps. They required a little filing to fit perfectly. I only put them on the forward end so I needed one pair. I can still slide my bimini and genoa hardware up from the stern. This is an easy fix and I recommend it.

Re: How do cruisers wash their clothes?
I know you are planning to visit islands other than Catalina but Two Harbors does have coin operated showers and laundry. Shoreboat service and moorings are available with a call on Channel 9. They have pumpout stations and fuel docks as well. I must warn you however that after a fine meal at The Ha...

Re: Evinrude scheduled maintenance.
I've been in an :macx: and cannot see any way for vapors to rise up into the cabin. I know they cannot in an :macm: . As with any vessel, refueling is done with the battery switches off and the hatches closed. I would worry more about dropping a fuel tank and causing a fuel spill or, worse, hurting ...
