BF 50 lower unit
Hey all, At the end of last year I broke my skeg while pullin her out at the ramp. It appears I didn't have the engine up far enough. So i'm faced with having it repaired, or replacing the lower unit. It also has a crack that I JB welded at the hub. I would have to remove all internals to have...

Re: Hello from SE Michigan - a New 26M owner
Congrats on the M!!
Since your in Novi, I would take it to Kensington or Island lake and get the hang of it. Then try St Claire.
I used to live in the Livonia area, and ran EMS in Novi for years.
My X and I now reside in SC.
GOOD LUCK
Rich

My first love is riding, and I've been doing that for 44 of my 50 years on this planet. I'm a traveler by nature it seems, so to discover sailing a few years ago fits right in :D Well Being Born & Bred in Scotland & proud of my Heritage its self explanatory :) http://i844.photobucket.com/alb...

Re: Mac Mod Gone Terribly Wrong
Ouch!! Sorry for your accident. I hope your on the mend soon, and can keep yourself occupied and sane in the mean time. My advice on the pain pills is simple, take what you need, when you need. Stop when appropriate. There is no need to suffer in pain and agony, and the increased stress hormones do ...

Re: Waxing the hull
I guess the wax debate is up to personal choice. Depends on how you use and store the boat, and how much effort you want to put into it. I read quite abit of forums, and decided to go with Mainsail's advice. Google: tips for compound, polish and wax. I started with a badly oxidized hull, dull and ch...

Nah...Just sat on the dock and griped about gas prices like the big power boats, and drank too much.

Re: 26X cockpit cushions--new batch
I'm going to have to pass. I think I will do something similar to Sumner's boat. I dont have any cushions on deck right now, so I'm starting from scratch.
Thanks for the info,

Re: Power Without Ballast
We motor unbalasted on the lake, and she handles just fine. One of the go-fasts powered by us at about 70 mph last weekend, and the resulting wave hit us broad side while anchored (again..unbalasted). We rocked something fierce :o :? Everything on the table was on the floor, and me and my kid were h...
