Meguiar dual action polisher on gelcoat ?
Thinking of buying one soon. Or in December the new version MT-300 Meguiar. Using the correct pads polishes and waxes has anyone tried this machine to spiff up their hulls. My boats oxidation free +or - Figured if it's ideal for super clear coated land barges and it's available in the marine/rv sect...

Re: Ballast tank leaks 26M, unheard of ?
Thanks for all the helpful and encouraging feedback. Will try the outhaul to the parking lot with the tank full. Dry the area under the rear berth. Check for leaks. Seems the most exacting way to approach this.

Ballast tank leaks 26M, unheard of ?
Just curious if anyone has ever heard of a ballast tank leak due to production defects in a 26M ?
I've read some posts ruling this out 100%
especially on this incredible vessel.

Re: Saltwater entering somehow below rear berth 26m
:macm: thanks for everyones input. Good suggestions. I'm putting together a checklist of things to examine carefully. Normally our 26m is always on a trailer in MASTUP storage. We launch on an average angle ramp. Motor at 5/6 mph for 2 miles to the breakwater. Easy on acceleration/deceleration. I'll...

Saltwater entering somehow below rear berth 26m
I have noticed a small amount of saltwater (one cup) on top on my rear ballast tank and outboard of the tank rails.
How can saltwater get into this area ?
The boat is a 2012 26M.
Appreciate any experiences or suggestions.
Thanks OV2

Emergency/Provisional repair on Etec60 2012 oil tank
I've discovered a seam leak in the uppermost forward port corner of my oil tank. Drips only when the engine is tilted up full. Apparently some other Etec60 owners have inherited the same defect. Until I can get my boat to Evinrude for my three year service is there anything I can put on the three in...

Re: 2012 Etec 60 intake manifold/air silencer leaks oil in t
Thank you Seahorse and all for your input. I've never thought to carefully check the too of my oil tank for cap seal.
This problem only started when I switched to the XD-50 Evinrude.
I also did a post with E Nation.
Need to look more carefully with a flashlight around the tank.
Thanks again.

2012 Etec 60 intake manifold/air silencer leaks oil in tilt
:macm: My new M26 came with a new engine. Still few hours on it. I use Evinrude XD-50 synthetic blend oil. The engine starts and runs outstandingly always hands down. After sailing with the motor tilted out of the water, have noticed that about one tbsp of oil has leaked out of the intake manifold v...

I bought the factory option multi colored sail at factory in costa Mesa. It's still unused in the bag. We really want to use it Blue, green, agua and white. Doyle. I need some advise on how to rig it correctly. And use it also. MACGREGOR mounted the block and halyard up the mast in the right place s...

Rigging my assymetrical spinnaker
I'd appreciate any helpful suggestions on how to rig my factory option spinnaker. 2012 26M. Never used or rigged a spinnaker. Can't wait to use it. It is white, blues and green. The factory installed the halyard and block in their proper location below the forestay. We will prepare it at the dock. F...

Re: 2012 Etec 60 outboard. Bought with my boat.
Yes !! Got some great input. Seems simple enough. Pretty straightforward to remove the intKe air silencer. Had the Etec 60 tilted forward while on the transom. In mastup storage. Some fresh two cycle oil dripped into the transom well. Most likely came from the crankcase. Wanted to clean any oil tha...

Re: Evinrude Etec 60 bought from MacGregor with my boat 2012
We did a ninety mile coastal cruise from in southern Ca.
Not all winds were favorable. 14 hours of sail/motor sail and some
maneuvers in two marinas.
Didn't use even two gallons of fuel.

What's the best gasoline for the Etec 60 ?
My Etec 60 is a 2012 factory option. It has approx. Sixty hours on it. New in Oct. 2011----- I've been using Shell regular gas here in CA. exclusively. It's their nitrogen enriched version. Any suggestions or comments from the other 26M skippers. Runs great. Was concerned about ethanol though. Thanks

Evinrude Etec 60 bought from MacGregor with my boat 2012
We love our boat. That's first. Our new Etec 60 has performed outstandingly. I'd like to know if other 26M owners are also satisfied with their Etec 60s. Ours has been ultra economical on fuel and oil. Very surprised. Power to spare. We don't pull skiers. Mainly harbor use and getting out to the oce...
