I believe I understand that the Jib sheet is supposed...

Re: Crazy to worry?? conduit and bouncing mast?
So I will worry less and I like the idea of a soft pool noodle conduit so will do that instead of hard conduit.
BUT
Will run a support string down the middle as my evil demons of doubt require it of me.....
Thanks

Crazy to worry?? conduit and bouncing mast?
I was planning on running conduit up my 26S mast.....But Even with the middle support in place my mast bounces a lot while trailering.... so would the glue or rivets holding the conduit....fail quickly As an alternate I was thinking of a pool noodle conduit like many have used inside the mast With a...

26S Filling with Water and vanishing Bolts
STAINLESS or BRONZE (though a stainless pivot) below the waterline? :? When I rescued my new to me 26S from the Oregon coast it was slowly sinking ass first into the pacific. The below the waterline rudder pivot bracket was leaking badly and the Laz was full of seawater to the top of the starter bat...

Re: Conduit from Outboard to Galley and more
Thanks for the kind words, I'm a bit OCD and love sitting an thinking about shapes etc. So building the compartment inside the compartment and the conduit stuff, was right up my alley. Very therapeutic I did add a part 2 with better photos and mood music (no music... that was a lie) http://www.macgr...

Conduit from Outboard to Galley and more
I uploaded my photos of my mostly complete conduit install to the mods forum. :) The final install will use two different conduit paths Shore Power (aft)---------Charger\Inverter(mid-ship)---------Battery Bank(mid-ship) Outboard(aft)-------------Battery Bank(mid-ship)--------------Overhead switches(...

Re: Rollover Proof Battery Mod is Done
I guess it falls under "Prepare for the worst, Hope for the best" :?: While I hope it never happens, batteries are very heavy and I don't want them going anywhere :o I was thinking of glassing in a floor, but I was unsure my skill would provide a bullet proof battery anchor. Plus I wanted ...

Rollover Proof Battery Mod is Done
I finished my Battery mount \ Cabinet interior mod on my 26S last night :) The measurements may be off for a 26D or others, but should be easily adaptable. Sadly I don't know how to make it one long winded mod, so it's 6 parts. Here's the link to Part 1 It's filled under Electrical and Galley http:/...

Re: 26S Trailer measurements needed Please..
When I get this conversion done I'll make another post listing the distances and bunk angles I've come up with. Needless to say the angles on the S-Hull are a lot steeper than on the X-trailer, so I've used http://cesmith.com/product/664/bolster-bunk/10000G To match the angles so far but I definitly...

Re: 26S Trailer measurements needed Please..
Thanks that would be great! As I've been working from a very compressed JPG I linked to a picture showing my 26S sailboat sitting on my 26X trailer. Red dots are my current bunk locations and yellow are my guess where a 26S trailers would be. My Axel and Winch look pretty close to the lower image of...

26S Trailer measurements needed Please..
Last fall I purchased a 26S and towed it on a generic trailer and I feel the boat is not sitting right on the bunks. I was wondering if someone could get me the distances to the following (Using the hitch ball as the starting point) Distance to the bow tow hook / V-block for the winch = ??? Distance...
