Re: Shipping 26M from Central Coast NSW to Malaysia
Thanks. I enjoyed both the video and the dramatic music. What prompted the move to Malaysia? Before the Coronavirus interfered, were you located close enough to sail to Singapore? One of our favorite places to visit. I planned to move to Malaysia back in 2019 and the first item to ship was my Mac. ...

Re: Shipping 26M from Central Coast NSW to Malaysia
Thank you all for this. I had found an agent in malaysia that managed to help me and arrange the freight forwarder in Sydney. The boat was shipped in late May and arrived in Malaysia in early July without any issue.

Re: What is an Entry-Level Cruising Boat?
MacGregor owners keep their boats in a nearby slip or bouy, or at home on a trailer. They do their own maintenance work on their boats either at home or on the water, modify their boats to suit their missions, and take their boats to lakes and oceans Hunter, Beneteau and Catalina owners only dream ...

Re: Weird
To me, our MacGregor Boats are the VW Combi of the sea. We made efforts to personalize these boats to our individual taste just like the VW Combi owners did. This 26X just done some thing that is out of the norms but the previous owner certainly did put a lot of efforts to make it to his liking or h...

Re: autopilot - wheel drive versus tiller drive
Hi Kadet, I installed the TP as well but yet to sea test the AP. Is there any ware and tare on the TP that you might feel to date? I like the slightly resistance feel but willing to go down to pop the TP if needed. We had some lively conversations on the Macgregor 26 Owners group on Face Book on whe...

Re: Weird
It looks to me like this boat may had been customized for river/canal cruising with some longer than 2 weeks live-aboard planned. The pins and the "fin" on the side may had been made for inflatable pontoons to give stability while on the water. Looks to me that these modifications are not ...

Re: Thunderstorms
I got the seabreak system to put on the bowl for weather out the storm
, it makes sense.
What I don't quite get is the 2nd reef on the main sail as there is only 1 reef point on the main for my main
. Where is the 2nd reef point located and is that done on custom sail modification?

Re: Broke my spreader bar?
Hi Barry,
I second Paul's suggestion. My spreader bar was broken too during rigging
and mailed order it from Cameron and save all the troubles on trying to get some thing else that I still have to work on it and I see it important to get the original part
