Re: Macgregors of Masonboro and Wilmington (NC) - (MOMAW)
There are 2 of us in Carolina Beach, and I've seen a few more around. My buddy and I both have 2002 Mac 26X's I had been travelling for work the past 2 years and that finally died down Feb this year. I was planning to catch up my sailing this year and then...... 2020 happened. But yeah, I miss the t...

Re: Southport NC -- trip planning info needed
The Marshes can be really shallow and very narrow. I wouldn't reccomend going in them.
Google 'Shark Tooth Island Cape Fear River' and Maps will show you the island.
Here is a link to an article about it: https://lifeinbrunswickcounty.com/shark ... river-gem/

Re: Southport NC -- trip planning info needed
Hey I live in the area and can answer some of these. (1) is there any decent inland sailing in the river areas there or does one have to go oout into the atlantic for decent sailing? From what i can tell, one would head out to the atlantic. Yes the area between Bald Head Island and Southport is a de...

SENC Mac Owners
Sorry it's been a long time since posting, but between work and kids I'm finding less and less time to play on my boat. At one time there was a robust community of Mac Owners near Wilmington, NC and I'd see several people out often. We even organized some events up, down the Cape Fear River and to M...

Heath,
Perhaps instead of just replacing you, a few people could volunteer to assist. That way with multiple people, the site will always have coverage?

Re: Video of our trip to islamorada for lobster mini week
This is awesome, my family and I just left Marathon. I counted 4 macs including what I think was you leaving on US1 as we were coming in Friday.
I gotta bring my Mac down here. I can't get over how easy accessing the big water is. There aren't the white knuckle inlets like we regularly get in NC.

Re: I'm an A/C convert
+1 for the Billybox. I've found myself getting out of bed in the middle of the night to turn the A/C down on more than 1 occasion. Plus I like the extra step getting on and off the deck, stretching out and it's fairly popular for people to sit on facing forward too (for some reason). In the winter, ...

We sailed down the Cape Fear to Southport last weekend, Mr. Bungee worked like a charm while under sail letting us kick back and only make small adjustments from time to time.

Carolina Beach to Southport Sail (Pre-father's Day sail)
Some local Mac Owners and others are planning a trip starting midday on Friday June 15th from Carolina Beach down the River (Following the tide out) to Southport Marina ~14 miles away. After dinner, carousing and general merry making Friday night the group will follow the tide back up the river Satu...

Awesome, I'm down in Waterfronte Villas in Carolina Beach with another 26x.
A buddy keeps his at Federal Point, and WindWager lives in the area too.
We need to do a meet up!
