Re: Water in cabin floor only when towing
There isn't much to these boats - my 2001X leaks from rainwater events (either under chainplates, rubrail joint or other) into the bilges under the aft dinette seat (stbd) and under the galley (port). In my case, it's only from rainwater and about the volumes you suggest. I just manually drain befor...

Re: Boat Water System
Makes perfect sense Ris, clever system.
It looks like you've got that manifold mounted under the port forward settee forward of the galley. So the water bag must be mounted forward, presuming it's a Plastimo?
Just wondering what the capacity is?

Nice work Mike.
Are we allowed to use the OB in the sailing race?

Re: New Trailer at last
Dennis, Nice trailer! Looks like it was made for the Mac. Just a quick query. I've also bought an ally trailer with bunks. At the moment, the boat is sitting on the trailer and I haven't yet fully set it up (its at a marina, mast up, which is handy - but it makes me a bit slack in finishing the trai...

Re: fuel tanks needed
This post shows 2x6 gallon Neptune fuel tanks in an unmodified fuel locker. I like the flexibility this gives.

Re: Blue Water Yachts - Great Service
Cheryl, I have to echo all comments above re: Ezra's service as well. First rate. Also, postage to Oz has been quite reasonable and timely delivery. Great service overall, and it's really heart warming to know there's a specialist supplier out there who can fix anything I might break on the boat. No...

Re: Where's Bill from Boats for Sale
I agree with Don. He's sent me a set of EZ cleats to Oz, from memory I had to use Western Union to get him the money. Was a bit painful in that regard (couldn't use card/paypal at the time).
Other than that, he was excellent to deal with.

Re: Sliding hatch
You could check with BW Yachts, however my belief is the 26S is a pop up hatch, not a sliding hatch. May have it wrong, however.

Re: Raymarine Wheel Autopilot help needed, please
The Raymarine wheelpilot comes with a pedestal bracket in the kit which is no good for the Mac helm (curved bracket to mount to a pedestal). The Raymarine instructions suggest you need to purchase a helm bracket, part number E15017. The rod from this bracket protrudes into a slot in the back of the ...

Re: Mast raising base plate
The middle picture has the mast base bracket bolted in back to front. The holes on the base plate furthest from the welded loop are where a 26M style mast raising system would bolt on and are otherwise not used. The mast pins through the holes closest to the welded loop.

Most people come to Australia to look at the Barrier Reef, Uluru, the Sydney harbour bridge etc etc. Now, I don't have a problem with your sightseeing priorities per se, however you may realise when you get home that you might have missed some sights!

Re: What Is The Number 4 Stamped on My Furler Fittings
I have a CDI II furler for my headsail. Getting ready to do the Johnson Lever conversion and order new genoa. I measured the forestay/furler cable and ended up with 5/32" diameter. I ordered a new Hi-Mod compression toggle fitting for the top; after I cut the cable to the new length. I saw this com...
