Wow, that is very helpful Brian.
My Hyrdohoist is not set up for the parallel bunks but I can buy the adaptors and get some 2 by 6's and turn it into one. The 38" measurement is a great help.
Thank you.

Re: Mac 26M Boat lift/floating dock
Well I finally bought the Hyrdohoist. It is a side load 9,000 pound lift. Old but should do the job nicely. Now I am trying to figure out the best way to support my :macm: with the Hydohoist. Should I just use the V support at the bow and a full stern support and the stern? Just double checking the ...

on the lift.
Anyone have any examples?

Ugh... I have New Glass 2 but was afraid to use it. I have read and read articles where some swear by it and some hate it...

Re: Getting ready to detail my 26M
BTW RussMT your
is exactly like mine (same year and same fast blue hull - may not pull chics nearly as well according to Wayne in his lighting fast white hull) and it is nice to know that someday my boat may come close to looking like yours....

Re: Getting ready to detail my 26M
Nice gelcoat repair video. Today after spending some more time over at the boat cleaning I see several move spider cracks. Some on the hinged seat where the gas canisters go and some really big ones on the hatch... gonna be a never-ending job. Well, I got the cockpit clean enough to try some compoun...

Re: Getting ready to detail my 26M
I did buy some white gelcoat repair from BWY just for fun, maybe I can use that to fill in the spider cracks.
I think because the boat has been in direct sunlight out on my boat slip for 5 years now have not helped matters....

Re: Mac 26M Boat lift/floating dock
Looks like I may be able to buy a Hyrdohoist lift 9,000 pounds. That will do it. It is 15 years old but still works. Just need to make sure the bunks fit, and it is for a v hull so that is good.
Anyone ever put their
on a lift?
TIA
Matthew

Getting ready to detail my 26M
Today while washing it down (it has been in the sun on the water for over 3 years) there was no way to get the dirt and grime off without some light pressure washing. Hull cleaner did not even touch some of the nasty stuff. The top side has not been detailed properly in years. I have read pressure w...

Re: Mac 26M Boat lift/floating dock
Yes I have bottom paint on my Air-Dock and had a diver clean them from time to time. My problem came from deflating the air bags before hurricane Irma hit to get the :macm: closer to the water. The :macm: already sits pretty high on the water, add another 2 feet with the Air-Dock. Then I did not inf...

Not sure how it is in Mobile Al. but in the summer man the barnacles really grow here!
The less underwater and in contact with the water the better.
Still thinking....

Re: Mac 26M Boat lift/floating dock
I would love the conventional 4 piling lift but since I just rent the dock, I did not want to go to the expense of putting in 4 pilings at around $4,000 plus buying a 5,000 lb lift, plus running the electrical into the condo I live on the bay side where I have land in my backyard and not able to get...

Mac 26M Boat lift/floating dock
I live in a condo association in Florida and rent a boat dock from one of my neighbors to keep my Mac at. The first year I kept the :macm: in the water and I just hated that. I do have bottom paint but wanted to get it out of the water so I bought an Air-Dock. Worked fine for a few years but before ...

Re: A little steering advice needed
I think I need to put in an uphaul for the dagger board. Anyone have some good details on that. I may want to do that on the rudders too. Now I need to get my nerve up and do this again in wind and current so feel the difference with the dagger Board down.... as far as I can get it! When I had a dif...
