Re: Swing keel up when moored?
I have a :macm: and run a line around the daggerboard and then back to the stanchion and use a trucking knot (not sure if there is a nautical equivalent) to hold the daggerboard hard against one side of the trunk. Reduces the knocking. I cannot sleep with the daggerboard up because of the rock and ...

Re: Swing keel up when moored?
Here's photos of the fix I did. Worked a treat. I used normal house plumbing compression fitting Teflon olives and a couple of M12 Galvanised washers (fit perfectly). Cost me nothing and about an hours work. No more banging thank god. If the Teflon wears, I'll probably do the foam idea as well, soun...

Re: Centre Keel banging when lowered 1998 26X
Our 26X does the same...but another problem caused us to discontinue staying overnight with the centreboard down......tide and wind caused our anchor rope to snag the centreboard......not good...lots of work to unsnag Anchoring never seems to be a problem with snagging the keel as we have 50m of ch...

Re: Swing keel up when moored?
How do you stop this clunking noise? It's intolerable. Can't sleep with the boat rolling with the keel up. Can't sleep with the keel clunking with the keel down.The-strikes wrote:I can't sleep with the keel down. It makes too much clunking noise every time the boat rocks.

Centre Keel banging when lowered 1998 26X
Does anyone know how to fix the sideways banging noise of the centre keel when you lower the centre keel whilst anchored/moored? If there's any kind of swell, it's heaps more comfortable leaving keel down, but the banging noise is intolerable. I even got up at 2am and slid a rope around keel and ten...

Try this waterproof case: lifeproof.com I'm not affiliated, just own one on my iphone and it works awesomely. You can take it down up to 6m underwater. You lose a bit of sound quality is only drawback, but I use headphones or stereo anyway. I wash my phone under the tap every week. Never had a leak.

Re: Full cockpit canopy - Australian
I would post photos if I could. I've got no idea on how to load a photo into the forum. It's a 98 26X on Sydney which I pick up on Monday. Looks like everything you could imagine has been done to it. Looks quite tidy. I'm quite excited.

Re: Full cockpit canopy - Australian
Thanks Dennis. I totally understand what you're saying.
I plan to put it up when we're anchored or moored only (possibly for a week at a time). We really need a little more dry space to extend the living space whilst stationary, as we have 3 ankle biters.

Hi Martin. Nice boat. I went to Sth Nowra to go barter on that boat when I got back from being away for the week. You got in there first.
Glad it found a good home. Nice pics.
Tristan.

Full cockpit canopy - Australian
I'm looking at buying a 2007 26M, but it doesn't have any canopies (not even a biminini). I've been looking at websites all over Australia trying to find somewhere decently priced for a full cockpit, Bimini, & Dodger (with fly's) similar to one available in Canada at: http://gencomarine.com/canv...
