Our 26X does the same...but another problem caused us to discontinue staying overnight with the centreboard down......tide and wind caused our anchor rope to snag the centreboard......not good...lots of work to unsnag Anchoring never seems to be a problem with snagging the keel as we have 50m of ch...

Try this waterproof case: lifeproof.com I'm not affiliated, just own one on my iphone and it works awesomely. You can take it down up to 6m underwater. You lose a bit of sound quality is only drawback, but I use headphones or stereo anyway. I wash my phone under the tap every week. Never had a leak.

I would post photos if I could. I've got no idea on how to load a photo into the forum. It's a 98 26X on Sydney which I pick up on Monday. Looks like everything you could imagine has been done to it. Looks quite tidy. I'm quite excited.

I plan to put it up when we're anchored or moored only (possibly for a week at a time). We really need a little more dry space to extend the living space whilst stationary, as we have 3 ankle biters.
