Re: June breaking rainfall records

Same story here outside of Washington DC. Almost every weekend has been a washout. And the ones that have been good have been consumed with yardwork and other 'required' duties ... ugh ...

Re: Roller Furling

Funny - I was going to start a new topic, but then I saw this one and decided to jump on. My M25 currently has a roller furler. I trailer my boat to the ramp and then home every time I use it. I find that mounting and dis-mounting that thing every time is a real pain in the butt. Everybody here seem...

Re: Need some help

Thank you all for the kind words. JohnCT - you're in my thoughts. I hope you continue winning the battles!

I'm posting the boat on CL today. I was just giving the folks here a shot first.

His daughter is 9 and his son is 5 so it's going to be awhile before they are off single handing!

Need some help

This forum has been a wonderful resource for me and a dear friend of mine. I'm hoping that someone can help out with a situation that has come up. One of my best friends bought a 1972 MacGregor Venture 22' last July, about the same time that I bought a 1986 MacGregor 25'. We had plans of sailing aro...

Re: Rudder Craft Windows

Just noticed that I never finished the story. So I did make the cuts and enlarged the windows. Worked great and allows much more light inside the boat now. The downside that I didn't think about was that the curtain rods in the cabin are now a bit off as the windows are longer than before so the cen...

Re: Price to pay for refinishing?

I am going to be trying to make my boat shine as my Fall project.

This is pretty much how I intend to do it: http://www.boatus.com/boattech/casey/re ... rglass.asp

Very nice spacers!

Got any compasses, inclinometers or depth finders you want to get rid of?

Re: Should you spend more on electronics then on the boat?

Can I justify spending $4,000 on electronics when I only spent $3,000 on the boat. :tat26: No! WHY Why why??? You can do this for less than $400. $150 for a VHF and antenna and I'm getting one of these. I think it's all that you'd need. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Lowrancereg-Mark-4-HDI-SonarGPS...
