Re: Rope Traveler/Bridle?

I have a Mac 25 that I added a traveler to. It was expensive but well worth it. There is photo at the link below. https://forums.sailboatowners.com/index.php?media/kensington-9-29-14-002.22477/ If you go to YOU TUBE and search JEANNEAU 349 and study the videos you will see that there mainsheet setup...

Re: Is it possible to get dry rot?

I have a 1987 Mac 25 and the front deck, cabin top and transom are plywood cored.
I am not sure if there is any in the hull.
Water leaks in to plywood at screw holes for hardware.
Hope this helps.

Re: Mac 25 Mainsheet length?

To dcaldarona: If your new boat is worth $20,000.00 or more, go to W. M. or BWY. I replaced all my running rigging thru a line dealer on ebay, that sells Nova Tech XLE line. Google there site for information on there line, if it meets your spec's go to ebay and search Nova tech XLE the seller I used...

Re: shrouds and stays

Thank You Sumner for your reply:
I will follow your advice and order the 316 stainless wire because
there will be a next owner and the boat can wind up anywhere.
Thank You

Re: compression post problem

The Cuscus Thank you for your reply. I have one more question for you. I was looking at your photo album on the other site and you did the keel mod. Was it worth the time and trouble? I'm not a racer, but would like to squeeze every bit of speed out of this boat. I don't want to build a platform lik...

Re: compression post problem

This is my first sailboat and the only one I have ever been on. I got into sailing when most people my age are looking at cemetery plots. I bought the boat to give me something to do, to stay out of the bars. Now I think it would have been cheaper to go to the bar. The only thing the PO did,was wear...

Re: compression post problem

Freedom 77 Thank You for the post. The stainless steel L-bracket that supports the mast post on my boat is bent down from the pressure of the mast. Blue water yachts does not sale this part, so I will have to have it made at a shop I use. I was thinking of making the bracket longer so it is up again...
