Re: Boat's Planned Mods
I installed a cruise marine fridge. I have 200W solar that charges a 350 amp bank. It keeps up with it if it is full and temp outside is no more than 30C.

Re: Ruddercraft / Idasailor Rudder problem - cant lift it ou
I have a 26x and I bought rudders from ruddercraft. Same problem here. They seem to be slightly thicker than originals, they get stuck in the welding line of my rudder brackets. I force them in and out several times until I could see the area that was a problem, then I took a dremmel and shaved it t...

Make sure the sheets are outside the shrouds and you use the cockpit track for the lead, the wind will do the rest.

Re: HOW COME THEY DON'T TALKS TO US?
Totally agree with the above. I have my boat for 2 years now. This site is a goldmine, I did tens of mods on my boat inspired or just copied after what other people did. I am to damn sorry and lazy and I do not post. But, I have lot of respect and appreciation for those who did.

Re: Mac 22 - how to setup double berth?
Yes, It will support 2 people. The table comes down in a groove on each of the benches.
I discovered that the back support of both dining area benches and the one on the side bench fit just right to make the bed. Never used it though to sleep overnight.

Re: Solar Panels - How big to maintain batteries
The autopilot seems to drag down the batteries within a couple hours.
OOOps I did not see that seems to be higher draw.
How big are the batteries?
I have about 400 amphr of batteries and my 100W solar panel takes about 1 week to load them up to max from totally drained.

Re: Solar Panels - How big to maintain batteries
Practically you need a setup to cover what you use out of batteries. You have low consumers, probable max 3 amps hr( AKA 36 watts in an hour) for 3-4 hours means about 150 W. You have about 2 days between the rides. About 50 hours available to put back the 150W. Soooo, you have to charge some 10 W p...
