Labour Day Longweekend Mac Get together in SE Qld

I posted this message on the MacGregor 26 Owners group on Facebook and there has been a bit of interest with 4 owners indicating that they want to come along. So wanted to put the event here as well as I'm sure some of yo might like to come along for the weekend too? For us Mac owners here in Austra...

Re: Last trip before September holidays at Wide Bay

Hi Paul, Just wanted to let you know that Marissa and I had a great time on our weekend on the Tweed the weekend before last. We put in at Fingal and it was nice to have the shelter of that little deep water lagoon at the ramp as the wind was blowing straight up the river that morning. We cruised at...

Re: Mastless up the Tweed

Hi Paul, thanks for the heads up. We have our little 6 foot tender to take with us. Looks like we're going on Saturday now. I received a call today from a bloke up the coast that wants to come have a look at my Nacra 4.5 I have for sale on Saturday morning. It's been advertised for weeks and nothing...

Re: Last trip before September holidays at Wide Bay

Paul, that is stunning photography you've done there. Absolutely brilliant and a just a joy to watch. The colours you've captured in the sunset shower are amazing. I'm only 8 minutes into this one and have to run. But I can't wait to get back and play this on my big screen TV. Also can't wait to see...

Paul, those photo's look sensational. What a quiet peaceful looking spot that is. Looking forward to seeing the vids when you get around to them. :)
How far is it from Fingal down to the weir?

Re: Last trip before September holidays at Wide Bay

Hope you guys have a great long weekend on your boats. Looking forward to seeing the video's. We had planned to head over to Tangalooma for the weekend but the forecast of 25 to 30 knots this afternoon scared me off. I'm hoping to get out on Monday for a spot of sailing if all goes to plan. :)

Re: Hello from SE Michigan - a New 26M owner

Welcome to the forum. Like you I've just purchased a (new to me) M. And, like you I was lurking for a few years considering the Bayliner's etc and wondering do I go sail or power. When I saw the space inside the Mac it was a no brainer, and the cost of fuel here in Australia ($1:30 to $1:50 per litr...

Re: Electrical question

Thanks for the tip Dennis. That was the issue. I reversed the polarity of the lights and the LEDs all work fine now. :)

Re: Electrical question

Thanks Dennis. Is it only the light circuits that are positive earthed? That has to be the problem. :o

Re: Electrical question

Thanks for the feed back. The wiring harness is all attached to the wing nut terminals at the batteries, so the size is the same on all the terminals. The main house wiring harness comes into the battery as two wires. One is black the other is white. I took it that the black was the earth? When I co...

Electrical question

Can anyone tell me if the main house wiring to the Macgregors is Black for negative and White for positive? Reason I ask is I have set up my house batteries with black as the ground and everything works Ok. All the cabin lights work, all the anchor lights work, the running lights and even the radio'...
