Re: Wallas Stove Counter Top

That top is beautiful. Always liked the idea of a stove and heater in one small package.

Re: Looking for mast and all other sail components

Most people buy a sailboat to sail or look like they are a sailor. So most folk here sail. A few such as myself use the Mac as a motor trawler. But we keep all the sailing stuff so when we sell it we can make a sailor happy to own a great little sailboat. Knew a fellow from Alabama who sold his sail...

Re: Top Speed?

My motor was new 60 hp Honda with a 70 hp foot. called the 60 hp BFP. The prop that came with the boat is a stainless 13 3/4 by13 prop. WOT was 4500 rpm at 19.5 mph. Since I was not getting over 5000 rpm we bought a aluminum 14 X 9 which produced 5250 rpm at 21.5. Wanting a higher rpm just to get mi...

Re: Top Speed?

I can only obtain speed from my garmin GPS/chart plotter. I have no speed wheel. The fuel and rpm are from the Honda V3 gauge which is most likely more accurate than the gps speed reading. I appreciate the help in understanding the data. The data WITHOUT weight of 850 lbs was on a flat calm lake the...

Re: Vee Berth Extension

Never thought of hinging the berth extension. Nice idea. Just so you know it’s 10 February and it’s 90 F in central Florida. Your boys are growing fast. It’s great that you spend time with them. If COVID-19 rules change maybe we can get up to Canada next year. Would be nice to see you again.

Re: EV-100 Auto Pilot

We just drilled a hole the size of the motor in the console and stuck the motor through the hole. Half the motor is inside the console as are the motor connections. Worked for about 6500 miles so far. Will post pics tomorrow. The hole has to be a tight fit or the motor would most likely slam against...

Re: Anchor Bow Roller and renforcments

Here is the bow roller with a 15 pound manson supreme on it. 11900 miles and she is still doing fine. Lots of big waves up to 5 feet crossing the upper gulf from Carrabelle Fl to Steinhatchee Fl and she is still fine. The second pic is of the washers under the deck. No other reinforcement. For ancho...

It is a 2015 Honda 60 BFP. Has the 70 hp foot so it swings a 14 inch prop. Yes told shop I wanted all the info from the computer. They gave me the screen shots and listed it all on the bill. Good folks, They also gave me all the replaced parts.

Finally picked up boat from shop

They had my boat about 3 weeks. I know that they waited on the timing belt for 2 weeks. Their original estimate for all the work was $1600 max. The total at pick up was $1170. Just $280 more than the bill for the first major check at 860 hours. Then my wife asked do you give discounts for vets and t...

Re: Suwannee River Trip by my wife

The last camping site on the trip was at Weeks landing. Do not panic at the picture they were told by an official that the best camping site in the area was behind a no campfire sign and that no rangers would be in that area for 2 days so be safe. https://i.postimg.cc/230wscrX/P1250374.jpg Th...

Re: Suwannee River Trip by my wife

My wife (Jill) and friend stopped at Otter Springs on the 4th night. As you can see from the picture below a lot of these springs are in upland areas with sand and lots of scrub oaks. In Florida an upland is 10 ft above water level. 8) https://i.postimg.cc/r0pJcs2J/Otter-Springs-Wednesday-campsite.j...
