Re: Any news on the Tattoo 22?

I was feeling lucky so I went on the Tattoo web page to look for any updates. I did not see any. Then, I clicked on the Facebook link at the bottom, and It said I could not see this page. Has anyone else had this problem? I hope it is down while they update something, and that this is not the beginn...

Re: Any news on the Tattoo 22?

Thanks for the in-depth reply about the need for storage on the loop. It is one of the first things on my bucket list. Did you use the bikes a bunch? Did you have Uber? Did you catch and eat a bunch of fish? Did you use a guide book or just charts? Was the need for more gas ever an issue? Did you ge...

Re: Any news on the Tattoo 22?

Did you feel that extra 4 feet was need for storage or to just be able to get further away from the person you were spending way to much time with for a year?

Re: Any news on the Tattoo 22?

You know people have circumnavigated in boats smaller than 22'.

I think 22' is the perfect size for a great loop boat. Think of the money we would save every time we are at a marina and they charge by the foot.

Re: Any news on the Tattoo 22?

I apologize for not updating. I was really hoping that there would be some announcement or update coming from Tattoo by now. I called before driving to the location. Laura answered and said they are still working on getting the factory set up. She also asked me not to come by for a visit because the...

Re: Any news on the Tattoo 22?

I am driving to Miami in December. I might just drive by the new factory on my way back North and give everyone an update.

Re: Mac 19 FS, I wonder if it's legit

I purchased mine for 6,500 not too long ago.

The :mac19: while rare, does not command high prices.

If I ever get my hands on a :tat22: I will be selling my :mac19: for right around what I paid for her. I have made some nice improvements as well. 8)

Re: Any news on the Tattoo 22?

There is a post on the Facebook page that says the 22 :tat22: will be ready before the end of 2018.

Well, I am ready for it. :D

Re: Yamaha 9.9 stalls at idle and low throttle - please advi

Small 4 strokes are known to have issues if not run on a regular basis. I had so many problems with mine that I ended up trading it for an older 2 stroke. The opening on the carburetor on that motor is very tiny. Any little particle can get in there and clog it. You also have the problem of ethanol ...

Re: Any news on the Tattoo 22?

I am still hopeful. 2018 might just be the year my dream boat finally gets made. Until then, I will keep sailing my :mac19: when the wind cooperates.

Yep - I have seen those as well. Made in Spain I think.

It is almost as cool as a Tattoo 22 :tat22: I hope production will start soon since they have had the new building for about six months now.

Re: Does this 19 seem like a good deal?

I can shed some light on the steering situation. The :mac19: has a tiller for the rudders for when you are sailing. You need to get the rudders up for motoring. The wood tiller flips up out of the way and you steer with the motor tiller. If you are only going to use a 9.9 hp motor , I would suggest ...

Re: Newbie introduction

Be careful where the tiller is located on the motors you are looking at. If it is on the side, it might restrict your turning movement and thus radius.

I would also suggest getting longer rudders. The ones for a Hobie can be used with minor modifications.

Welcome to the :mac19: club.
