Re: Macgregor Owners Spring Break Meet Up in FL
My friend, who was going with me, alerted me to red tide in that area. I have looked at the FWC map and it does look like a medium concentration has been reported in that area recently.
Does any live near there to give us a red-tide report before we travel that way?

Re: M19 inspection ports
Glad to see another :mac19: owner on here. Your work on the motor is the most important. The :mac19: is pretty but not great for sailing unless the wind is really going the way you want to go or at a slight angle to said direction. Hopefully you can search my posts to see my mods. I got rid of the r...

Re: A Few Days on the Gulf
Be Free is correct about the rocks in the Suwannee up-river from Branford. I have bent several props on my run about learning exactly where those rocks are. :| I would be interested in joining you out there on the gulf this summer in my :mac19: , especially around scallop season. You would have to w...

Re: Keys Loop
I will be in Marathon the last 2 weeks in December. Message me with your contact info if you would like to meet up. I will have my :mac19: with her 40 hp with me. I agree with the earlier post about staying on the Atlantic side. You better know exactly where you are going on the gulf side. That is n...

Re: Keys loop
If you are serious, I would be willing to rent my house in North Florida for real cheap in the winters while I am in South Florida.
I retire in two years, and plan to never freeze again after that.

Re: Keys loop
Here in north Florida, you need more than a cardigan. Sometimes it gets cold enough here to burst pipes that were minding their own business. :? This little old man hopes to winter in south Florida and spend the rest of the year in north Florida. 8) If it is cold enough to burst pipes, I don't want ...

Re: Smashed Sail Feed Slot
I had a similar thing happen years back with my first mac mast. Our drop was a bit more "exciting". Thankfully no one was hurt. We had luck with a wood wedge and a hammer. It will take time but bang her in there, then leave it and repeat. The damage is already done, you don't have to be ge...

Re: Keys loop
Sounds awesome, please keep us posted.
One day, I would love to do a Steinhatchee to Key West and back around loop in preparation for a great loop one day.
I retire in two years. For now, I will have to live vicariously through you.

Re: Any news on the Tattoo 22?
Nice aft - I took my Miamistyle up to North Fl almost 20 years ago. I live in a small town about an hours drive from Stienhatchee. If you have never been to Stienhatchee, there is a long channel to get out into deep water. It used to take me an hour each way when I had a Mac Classic. I won't have th...

https://i.postimg.cc/640vCdjP/IMG-1391.jpg Got one of the last Evinrude 40 hp, luckily I had a small console that fit laying around. (Consoles this size are getting harder to find.) It runs like a dream and had no problem getting up on plane with my wife and two college age daughters on board. A lo...
