Mother in law lives in the Northwoods up by the UP. I've seen it snow in late May up there. Not much but wth. Only 4 months a year without snow.

Will second the C head endorsement w/o the vent. Wife loves it. No smell. We use the peat.

Re: 26m Aft Cabin Cushion Question

Wife and I found a nice queen size mattress at Ikea that was very comfortable and only about $100. Have tried the egg crate thing on top of the original mattress to no avail. Covers are washable and easy to get in or out. Can't emphasize enough the happy wife ditty.... How thick was the mattress ? ...

Re: Thinking of buying a MacGregor 26M

Aah! Missed an opportunity. I was ready to meet you at the Apostle Islands , lake superior, and introduce you to the pleasures of MacGregor life, aside from those of a unique sailing place in the world. Unfortunately, the summer vacation is over and I'm stuck in the MidWest for the rest of the othe...

Re: New trailer for 26M

Thanks so much for the info!!!!! We will be adding an axle due to the added comfort of being able to limp into a safer place in case of a blowout.

New trailer for 26M

I am in the market for a new trailer for my :macm: . I can't find it now but I seem to remember that someone had one built in the Raleigh Durham NC area. I was curious if anyone else may remember who or where it was. I would prefer aluminum dual axle. Our future has a lot of towing in it and I want ...

Re: Spring is in the air - or radio

Had just returned from a trip that included a stay in Minneapolis at -12F with 15mph winds. Mother in law lives in Eagle River, Wi. where bro in law just raked 4+ feet of snow off her roof 2 weeks ago. They have left an open invite to go ice fishing but I seem to be busy at those times. I have place...

Re: For those who like music while sailing

We went with the Bluetooth speakers. Don't even use the stereo anymore. I'm taking it out this year. Tablet or phone (in zip lock) n speaker are great to take to beach if wanted.

Re: Slip usage?

We really enjoyed having the slip for a couple of years. We tried the dry dock way but after a couple of times launching like that we went ahead an took the plunge and rented a slip. It has been in the back yard for modifications that are taking way too long due to life stuff for the last 7 months. ...
