What year is your boat? The early models (like mine) had an access panel above the v berth. They got rid of that in later years. If you have that access panel, you're golden. If not... You will have to punch some holes or make a panel yourself.

Check for a broken/bad PCV valve.It will cause the idle to be erratic on the high side. But it's only one possible problem out of a lot of possibilities. Always Go from the easiest to the more complicated when you troubleshoot. Do not put an aftermarket PCV valve on a Honda. Only OEM. Anyway, check ...
