Re: West Marine Price Matching
Couple of things Cheryl. I do buy a lot of items from BWY but I would really love to be able to buy a flush mount stove top from your site. Also if you don't offer the items anymore, why do you still show photos of them (i.e. flush mount stove) ? It would also be great if you would start offering re...

Re: Moving to Hawaii, bringing the boat
Nope, wife and I are looking toward the live aboard lifestyle. Seriously considering Jeanneau 440 though I would love a Seaward 46RK. I mean it's like a Macgregor 26m on steroids. Too bad they are so damn expensive.

Moving to Hawaii, bringing the boat
Well looks like I'll be moving to Hawaii at the end of the year. I plan to ship the boat out there (free of charge of course), use it for a few years, then sell it for a premium. Sailboats in Hawaii are exceptionally high in price I've noticed. Then it's on to a bigger boat. Any Mac owners living in...

Re: Mppt and solar
I use this MPPT controller and I love it. Connects to my phone with bluetooth and gives me a history of daily solar output and usage.

Re: I'm an A/C convert
I need to put up some pictures of the plumbing. As of now, I have the discharge through hull exiting out the stern. I want to move it to the bow near the anchor locker discharge. I also use Marvair CR330 Condensation Removal Kit for the condensation. Works great and plumbs right into the discharge l...

Re: I'm an A/C convert
Well I installed a Marine A/C unit in mine, 5000 btu's. This past weekend was the first time I ran it continuously for two days as the weather was unbearable. It worked great and we all slept comfortably. I power mine with a WEN 2000 gen I picked up on Amazon.com . Please see attached photos. https:...

How dare you talk about winter covers during the dawn of summer. You should be horse whipped in the streets!

Re: Storms on the Chesapeake
Wish I had some mangroves to anchor to. Alas, I had to count on the muddy ground I was stuck on to hold me steady.

Re: Storms on the Chesapeake
Anchor was the 25 LB model and I set it with plenty of rode. At least two boat lengths and this was in about 6 ft of depth. Problem was, the wind changed directions multiple times causing the anchor reset again and again. I've never had an issue with my Rocna, but this was definitely a first. The li...

Storms on the Chesapeake
So was anyone else caught in the storm 12 May 2018 out in the Annapolis area? I was, thought I would be perfectly safe anchoring at Sandy Point and waiting it out. Almost turned into a complete disaster. First, my Rocna Anchor didn't hold in the sand. Second, once the storm hit, the wind was so stro...

I don't think I would have enough room to mount it there. I will definitely change out the corrugated hosing to something smoother.

I wonder if a lithium powered drill would work to spin the flywheel. I feel like I've seen that before.

Re: Mast Halyard Block Replacement
I installed a BWYachts downhaul line which caused more issues than anything else. The slug upgrade I received from them had plastic dividers on the rings themselves which created massive amounts of friction when threading a down-haul line through them. I only threaded the line through three slugs bu...
