Re: 26M changes by year 2003-2013?
We have the 2003 26M, I'll tell you what mine has. Our's came on a black steel trailer, we had a galvanized trailer made last year the way we wanted it. You can search through my post and see pics. The galley is to the right of the dagger board, the head is directly behind the galley. There are larg...

I like the inclusion of the little bitty outboard Honda engine. Thanks for sharing the diagram. Great details.

Our 2003 26M has the speakers one on each side of the hatch door and two on the inside. The stereo is mounted above the sink and mirror.

Re: Making rudders
I looked at making a rudder after our little accident with the mailbox and decided to just buy one from BWY. I still had to drill the correct holes for the stop brackets but in the end it's probably better for us to have bought one. By the time I learn to do fiberglass work, buy all the material, ma...

New 2003 26M Trailer (repaired link)
We had a new trailer made for our 2003 26M, the old steel trailer had lots of deep rust where the axle u-bolts attached to the frame, the rear of the trailer was showing lots of rust, the tires scrubbed the boat on the sides whenever you hit the smallest of bumps, the rotors were pitting very bad fr...

Making rudders
Has anyone attempted to make their own rudders? We had a great day of sailing today, while backing in the driveway, I lost sight of the mailbox, sure enough I found it with one of the rudders. It snapped off at the hinge and it didn’t take much. A new rudder is expensive, is it possible for a DIYer ...

Re: 26m Docking advice and suggested reference videos?
These are great tips, the biggest problem we’ve had is the cross wind and cross current pushing the boat away from the dock. On one afternoon outing we must have tried docking 10 times before we finally got it timed correctly. Our local lakes have docks that sit just above the water and of course th...

Re: One job led to another
If you are doing all that, might as well replace the studs and lug nuts. I started doing the same thing, in the end I replaced the U bolts, bearings, raises, seals and tires (wheels included). To save time I cut the U bolts off with a saws all. I couldn’t find anyone that would turn the rotors to re...

Re: Simple battery support?
The bats on our M are located one on the port side storage bin by the steps, the other is right under the stern well, you have to lay on your belly and work over and around the steering linkage to do anything with the accessory wiring. It really makes no sense why they are located where they are, if...

Re: Replacing plastic mast cap
I made mine out of cutting board. I used three layers, one for inside the mast, the other two for the top. I used a piece of cardboard to make an imprint of the inside of the mast to get the insert layer nice and tight.

Re: New Custom 26X Trailer
I live in Wendell, right outside Raleigh, we have a 2003 26M. It’s the original steel trailer, painted black, tires scrub the hull. If I can help I’d love too, I’d also like to get a new trailer, ours makes me nervous it’s got lots of rust. Perfect. I have a suggestion when my trailer is complete. ...

Ready for spring and summer
We are ready for warm weather, tired of the cold.

Under that big gray tarp, our Mac 26M is waiting for warmer weather, I'll settle for 50 and dry.
