Re: New Custom 26X Trailer

I wonder if anyone has ever had this trailer built for a Mac 26S? I'm very interested in a new trailer based on retirement plans.

Re: Boat's Planned Mods

I had a compact lithium ion battery hooked to a 20 watt panel with a 10 amp solar controller. After a week of not using the system, battery discharged and would no longer accept a charge. I had set up this system just to try out Lithium batteries. It worked ok while I was using the battery every da...

Re: Boat's Planned Mods

One clarification when discussing Lithium battery technologies, it's important to specify LiFePO4 or LiPO, they are quite different. LiPO has a higher peak cell voltage of 4.2 volts in a typical 4S pack the peak charge voltage of 16.8 volts is too high for most "12 volt" items. For LiPO 3.7 volts is...

Re: Boat's Planned Mods

I'm in the process of building a 200ah LiFePO4 battery using 66ah prismatic cells, a 30amp BMS and a Genasun charge controller that will power my Mac 26s. This is my second LiFePO4 build. Ixneigh, I am curious what charge controller you used that cooked the batteries and if you were also using a BMS...

I'll post photos here when it's done. The tricky part will be to make a wedge shaped piece of wood as a front mounting surface, nothing in the Mac is vertical.

Re: Galley Table

I have purchased a Lagun Table Leg for my cabin table. Not quite sure where I'll mount it yet, need to get in and play with the range of adjustment and motion to decide. Here's a video about the Lagun. https://youtu.be/ndgkur197js
