Re: 26M mastgate
I use a sail track stop now but have to go forward to take out a couple of slugs to reef. I was going to install a BWY single line reefing kit so that I could reef from the cockpit. The other option would be to leave a couple of slugs out of the track. The mast gates on the youtube videos allow for ...

Re: 26M mastgate
Yes, That is what I am looking for but BWY mastgate is for 2008 and newer 26M according to their website. My boat is a 2003 26M. I think they must have changed the slot in the mast. I have a very early 26M I think it was the 12 one that Macgregor made.

26M mastgate
I ordered a mastgate for my 2003 26M from Shapeways. I thought it was a production item as it was listed on its website. I recieved the following email back from them. The model "M26M 6.7" (2003 to 2007) TD 19.8mm" you ordered was put on hold by production because of design issues. We...

Re: Concepcion Bay boat ramps
Thanks Chinook, I have read your blog of the 2007 trip you made more than once. I have been monitoring Predict Wind for a few weeks now to see how long weather windows last to make the crossing, I would be single handing the first part of the trip. I have friends in Baja now with a truck and camper ...

Concepcion Bay boat ramps
I am planning on trailering the 26M from Calgary to Baja in February or March. Looking for information on boat launches and truck and trailer storage near the Concepcion Bay or Mulege area. I will be towing with F150 4x4 so may be able to launch from a beach if there is firm sand but would prefer a ...

Re: Dreaming About Haida Gwaii
I am looking forward to viewing your replies. I am considering doing the same next summer. I was looking at the cost of the ferry and was unsure if the posted price was one way or if I would be charged both ways. I don't have your experience sailing and an experienced friend said he wouldn't take hi...

Powering a chartplotter off of nmea 2000 backbone
I am installing a Raymarine evolution wheel pilot on my 26m. Can I power a Garmin 742xs chartplotter from the raymarine seatalk backbone using a seatalk to nmea 2000 adapter or does the chartplotter need its own power supply.

seatalk cable powering a garmin chartplotter
I am installing a Raymarine evolution wheelpilot on my 26M. I am also installing a Garmin 742Xs chart plotter. Can I power the chart plotter off of the seatalk backbone using a seatalk to nmea 2000 adapter or do I have to run a separate power supply to the chart plotter.
