Re: Window Trim
Thank you for the replies. After closer inspection of the arrangement, I can see the wisdom of your advise. The head walls are more than just flimsy bulkheads. AND my wife chimed in that she liked and wanted the substantial enclosed bathroom space...that of course trumps all. Thank you for your inpu...

Re: Window Trim
Fascinating discussion! I see this is from 2015. I don't know if any of you are still monitoring this thread, or if this is the place to post a related but separate topic. But, I like all your experience and out of the box thinking. So...here goes. I just purchased a 1999 :macx: as a project boat (i...

Re: Stiff steering

With my current Mac26x, if l let go of the wheel for a fraction of a second it leans into a HARD starboard turn...

Re: Ballast leak
Tom Foolery, thanks for the thoughts on losing ballast when healed. I have only had the boat :macx: for 3 months and sailed it only 3 times, mostly winds 15kt with gusts over 20kts (we have a windy lake). I did note that under shortend jib only the boat would heel enough to lose control and round up...

Re: Ballast leak
I have a bit different ballast tank leak that I hope some of you can shed some light on. I just purchased my 1999 :macx: a few months ago. It is not in pristine condition. But, we are making progress in getting it seaworthy. Upon suggestions in this post, I filled my ballast tank and pulled it out o...
