https://i.postimg.cc/WdjTqVBh/Screenshot-20260119-065657-Grok.jpg This guy had some decent videos. Seemed like his original channel just fell apart. I like some of his new PS content - good that he talks about older boats and nonracing boats etc. Having said that the script fell churned out from an...

26X Spinnaker Install with halyard mast tang install
Hey group, purchased a used spinnaker for next season. I did order the Halyard relocation kit from bwyachts.com along with the whisker pole they recommend. I was going to ask if anyone else has done this install and any advice or reason to deviate from their included i structions which appear compre...

Re: Lots of empty slips in the Bahamas
I guess they would want revenue generation from this but seems like they would understand a lot of negative downstream effects from an economy built on tourism for many of outlying (and main) islands. Maybe they dont bring in much money from smaller boats and for larger superyacht type boats its pro...

Re: Mac 26X with every Mod and upgrade listed with some pics
Had my sonar and depth guage lines cut thru. I have a garmin sonar on left that is a bottom mapper, depth guage and fish finder. The right is an older paddle wheeler speed and depth guage. The lines were irregularly cut and frayed. Initially I thought by an errant fishing lure but the marina thinks ...

Re: Raise mast on the water?
Great encouragement guys, Lots of good information and arguments for raising the mast on the water. I think my favs were: stepping onto the dock instead of going up and down the ladder falling off the boat means falling in the water or to the dock, and not 6ft to the ground Im am seriously consider...

Re: Raise mast on the water?
I always launch now before raising my mast. And I lower on the water. I tie off to a dock and i make sure my CB and rudders are down and water ballast is in. Those all make the boat more stable when raising and lowering. Frankly it makes it easier for whoever is helping me -instead of having to clim...

Try and support bwyachts. Its a macgregor-specific parts dealer based in Seattle. They have excellent support. Heres a link to the bulb you likely want on their site. https://shop.bwyachts.com/product-p/8407-1v0.htm I used those on my 26x. Edit: just saw youre athens. I suspect that isnt the origina...

Re: Cabin floor
I have had this for about a year. It's tough and stands up to some abuse. If it gets dirt or food stains, so far, they just come right off by scrubbing with warm water. The final picture I posted is an example before doing maintenance cleaning which I do whenever it catches my attention but only ta...
