A while ago I was able to visit the old factory website and they had an archive on many of the past boats. It also had info on the new composite 70 that Roger recently finished.
Does anyone know what happened?

I will be taking my boat out on 7/5, but I will not be available on the 7th or 8th. Sounds like we will just miss each other. Wish you the best on your time in California.

Re: Ballast valve: rebuild or replace?
My understanding is that the ballast valve needs to be removed to be rebuilt. If you are going through the trouble of removing it, it might make sense to replace it entirely. Oh, and you can adjust the furler to make it easier to attach. You have to open up the drum and adjust the little turnbuckle ...

Re: E-Tec 60 Prop for 26M
I think I have the 13.75x13 prop, but it will be some time before I can check as my boat is 30 MI away. My engine is 50hp and gets up to 5500 rpm with ballast. I don't power wot with ballast very much so can't say what the max speed is. About 5800 rpm and 19 mph with out ballast. EZ, I think I've s...

Re: Rain water in the 26m
I generally keep the joint between the top of the rub rail and the deck sealed with marine grade silicone caulk. I do not use 5200 because this area is exposed to the sun and it does not seem to hold up well to UV exposure. I don't know if this will solve your leak issue, but I hope it helps. Best o...

Sinice this occurred after running the engine dry, I would suspect air in the fuel lines. You may want to put it in fast idle mode to purge any air out.

Re: Vent mods. need opinions before cutting
Seems like vent ports on in the cockpit like Tomfoolery shows would be the way to go.
If the vents are on the windows, what can go wrong if this happens...

I believe others have put a vent fan on the forward hatch. Just another option.

I've seen a couple of these threads about Tattoo Yachts, and I just thought it might be worth mentioning that even though Tattoo Yachts is MacGregor offspring (in several ways), they are NOT "the new MacGregor" and it is both unfair and in poor taste to treat them or have an attitude towa...

Re: Daggerboard trunk on a 26M
It is my understanding that the bottom of the trunk is encapsulated in epoxy to form the permanent ballast. I think that it is unlikely you will have any leaks sourced from that area. However, I have had leaks from rainwater on the top of the trunk. Water leaks can be tough to diagnose, but it shoul...
