Boom Pin
The mast gets pinned a the base to the base plate. Mine is a bolt with nuts (threaded). Looking to switch to a easier release such as a smooth pin with a ring in the end. Wondering if anyone has done such? If so any suggestions?

Trying to setup the ropes for my main halyard and down sail back to my cockpit but I’m trying to avoid drilling . See my photo but I’m not please with how the rope is rubbing the side of the pulley. 1990 26s trailer
Anyone still using the original trailer and have had to replace the axle? Wondering what length axle you went with as this one seems non standard? Had a bearing failure this weekend that resulted in hub and axle shaft damage. Thanks.

Re: Rudder Cable Attachment
Sorry I am referring to the rudder hold down hole. The owner had the cable through that hole... Do you have it threaded through the rudder hold down hole, or do you have it attached to a bolt that goes through?

Rudder Cable Attachment
Curious how most people attached their cable to the rudder back to the tiller? Previous owner used a combination of steel cable on rudder and in metal then it went to rope… I don’t like the metal cable as I think it will cut into the rudder..

26s rudder castle opening
My rudder castle opening seems to be about 1.25 in, but the standard rudder from bwyachts or rudder craft is about 1.75”.. The previous home made rudder was only 1 inch.. I’m wondering if there should be enough give in the bracket to accept this standard size rudder.. Thougths?
