crazy - no!
Oh my, lets see, if your wife is up to doing that kind of stuff, that means in my book you're crazy if you don't do it before she changes her mind. You got a shallow draft craft, you can get out of the way of a charging barge (those infinitely long and wide things formed out of an infinite number of...

Congratulations
Kai:
Congratulations & thanks for the post.
What a coincidence - my son is named Kai, there don't seem to be that many Kai's in the Chicago area (also our area).
Please check your private messages.

31'er trailerable, 36'er needs permit, both smaller than M/X
I've been on both the 31' Corsair and the 36' Corsair on different shows. The 36 footer is trailerable by permit only. The 31'er trailers just fine. The interior room in the 31 footer is scarily small (narrow), and the 36 footer still seems quite smaller and a lot less comfy than a 26M or X. Sailing...

No 26M on Strictly Sail Chicago show?
My hopefully faulty research seems to indicate that there will be nobody showing an 26M on the Strictly Sail Chicago show. Please somebody tell me that's wrong.

there is no full warranty over 50HP
It doesn't matter what a dealer, no matter how good and well reputable says or writes, even when signed. A dealer cannot give a full factory warranty. Only the factory can. And if the factory (MacGregor) doesn't warrant anyting for over 50HP than that's that. A dealer may externd his own warranty fo...

I would not try to simulate the weight benefit of chain with anything that's less abraision resistant than chain - like lead weighted rode. While that could substitute for the nice low angle pull on the anchor stock and, if long enough for the dampening effect chain gives (due to the increasing forc...

I think that would be great. I don't see much good in dual rudders, off center rudders other than allowing a single motor between them. Dual motors, while costly are great redundancy wise - especially if you can get them with one counter-rotating and iindependant controls at the helm. The further yo...
