a/c start up surge

I think I remember a thread a bit ago about someone using an inverter with a generator to get the a/c compressor running and then turning off the inverter. Anyone have any details? I can't seem to find it under search.

2002 rudder and head door

Does anyone know what a new rudder and head door would be worth for a 2002 26X? I have one of each and getting ready to sell them.

I tried velcro- problem was the heat would soften the adhesive and looked bad and felt real sticky. Finally cleaned it all off and use nothing. I put them below when not there to make them last. The factory back rest pieces are too thin and short so I don't use them. Heard stories abou tthe factory ...

I would certainly hope you would get well over 1000 hrs. I have a Honda Eu6000 2 cylinder liquid cooler generator that is 15 years old with 5900 hrs. on it and it still runs fine, knock on wood. That is the main reason I bought the Honda BF50 outboard for the Macgregor. The BF50 is a 3 cylinder liqu...

I've got a 02 Quad cab Ram 1500 w/ 4.7l v8. I got just under 10 at 70mph and get 12 at 55mph. I seem to do best in hilly areas w/ no cruise being I can anticipate hills and accelerate down them to keep it out of passing gear going up them. Wonder if anyone gets much more than we can get? Mike

Larger boat after a Mac? Looking for a few features..

Thought I would ask you all for ideas about a larger boat. A few features I would like are roller furling main, hot water, built in a/c-heat, shower, and a little more room. I want something a few years old because of the heavy depreciation the first few years. Have honed in on the Beneteau 321, and...

Steve, Good to hear from you, it has been a while. What kind of boat "floats your boat now" or rather what do you have your eye on? Any particular one. I've got my eye on the 97-99 Hunter 310's and hope to be in one next spring. I ran up with you back on the Catalina 22 list and moved to m...

I feel for you, you are caught in the middle of a big mess. I personally would go after the Honda area or regional manager and go up the ladder till someone replaced my motor. They are way to expensive to be giving the service you have received. Let Honda (the company) deal with this Wood dealer and...

Before I put two batteries in, I wiped out the factory battery overnight watching the tv an using the anchor light, etc.. Have pull started mine twice, easier than I thought it would be. Choked it like I normally do and two pulls she fired right up. Maybe a pump or two on the fuel bulb might have he...

put a piece of duct tape over the plastic water intake above the prop on the bottom side of the horizontal part of the lower end, then use your muffs and it should pee. If not I would say you ran it dry and damaged the impeller. Good luck.

Have been to Jordan Lake a couple of times. Got a friend with a 2000 26x that has slipped it at Satterwhite, it is here (my house) next t...

Make sure if you get the pump(easiest way in my eyes) to refill the lower end you also buy the metric thread adaptor for the Hondas, the thread on the pump is standard thread and won't fit.
