Re: Charter a MacGregor sailboat in Chesapeake Bay area
Tom, Will you be joining us July 11-12 on the Rhode River south of Annapolis? I'd like to see a new, pretty :macm:!!! Did you get a blue or white? If you got the white, we will wait for you... I'll let you know about the Nats game as I firm it up. Checking with Coast guard station to see if t...

Re: Charter a MacGregor sailboat in Chesapeake Bay area
I don't know anyone doing charters with a Mac but we are getting a group of boats together next weekend (July 11-12). I'm sure we will have some :macm: and :macx: that you can take a peek at. See http://www.macgregorsailors.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=13110 for more info. I'm usually on the Po...

Re: Chesapeake Bay
I'm in. I'll trailer up Friday, maybe Thursday... I'll probably be solo cause my normal crew is in summer camp. Still looking for a ramp. I don't want to deal with getting to the state park and fighting with the bridge traffic. Clarissa, any word from Greg on parking? I'm open for anything and don't...

Re: Chesapeake Bay
How does the week of July 6th look for everyone? I'd have to decide if I want to sail or drive. It really depends on the location and weather. If I drive, I’d probably go to Sandy Point state park with 22 boat ramps and hundreds of trailer parking spots - it's on the western shore of the bay. http:/...

Stepped on the brakes? More like STOMPED on them.
I can’t believe that car could safely tow that boat. Look at that little hitch!!
And I was
towing my
with a Ford Windstar...
Be safe, have fun.

Re: Need Help - Placement of Steering Cable
I have an M but it sounds like I had the same issue. The cables will bend enough, they come out of the roof and bend them up and use several wire clips to attach them to the roof, feel around for some plywood. I missed a few times but got 3 or 4 wire clips screwed into the plywood and now the wires ...

Re: I made my own boarding ladder
Divecoz, Love the ladder!!! Do the "feet" scratch or did you plug them with something? Have you tried to get out of water with it or only a dink? Do your feet want to go under the boat? How much lead weight did you add to the bottom rung, too much, too little? I'll be working on this one t...

Re: Replace daggerboard lines on a 03 26M
Does your 03M dagger board have a second line? I do not and apparently, newer M's do so you don't lose the board if the line breaks. I removed my board for the winter because I wanted to add one but wasn't sure where to put it. I guess I'll just drill a hole in the top and side and add it then tie i...

The Patuxent River is a great place to be!!! I'm about 15 miles north of there and I'm happy with it. (Well, not now since it's snowing...) Air is 28, Water is 36. http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=slim2 I'm already planning trips up the Pax with my buddies. Solomon's Island is a sai...

Re: Cold Sauvi Blanc for the admiral
If you have a porta-potty, that will be your limiting factor. It'll need to be dumped every two days (your mileage will vary.) If you are out in the ocean you can dump over but most of your time will probably be inland cruising. If your stopping to dump, a few bucks will get you 10 lbs of ice. 10-20...

The "special" tool that they would not sell to you is "07LPA-ZV30100" available at http://www.boats.net/parts/detail/honda ... 30100.html for a painful $86.
Quite a bit for a tool you use for 4 minutes a year...
Stay warm!!

The fact that they updated the web page is news in itself!!!
Your entire Bahamas trip would be a great addition.
BTW, where are you? Last I remember you were playing with fire in the Great Dismal swamp, did you ever find the Chesapeake?

This PDF shows where the smoke will be.
If you can stay in NC and wait it out, you will probably be better. If you have to go, it'll stink but it'll work.
