Based on your previous posts, I think it would be best for all involved if you don't increase your speed to 16 knots. Maybe you should not be pushing 10! :? Thanks for the laugh. I needed it. It is always funnier when it is someone else's boat. For the punchline, please tell us how many times...

i rig it the same way as i sail. Very relaxed, slow and safe. However, i still do it in an hour. Add 10 mins for launching. I just have the standard hardware: no CDI. With mast raising kit. I could streamline to perhaps 50 mins from driving in the water to leaving the dock...maybe. But why rush? The...

The extra bolt and the rope in the rudder is more than enough. The bolt is a very safe and secure backup to the rope. Those photos remind me not to be lazy and leave the bolts out. At least on the Macs we have another rudder should we grind one down the road level! That comment really didn't help, d...

I guess if I had a smaller tear or damage to mine I'd make a mold out of plasticine (modelling clay) and then use that to form some black 5200 so that you could hardly tell it from the original. Repacing the rail is simply WAaaaayy too difficult - BTDT on a past boat, and I'll never do it again if ...

Cockpit Speakers
Where is the best place to put outside speakers in the cockpit of a new 26M? I know some have attached them to hinges on the inside of the cabin but i would like mine to be permanently installed in the cockpit. Any ideas?

Have a look at the Hummingbird Matrix 12 (About $140-). Add a GPS receiver (under $100-) and you have GPS capability. It is not a chart plotter but it will give you all that you asked for, plus water temp, log, elapsed time, average speed, compass, waypoints, etc. I have just done the same exercise ...
