Sea of Cortez...
The best overall place for diving, fishing, interesting other boats, scenery, would be San Juanico. La Paz's new Malicon walk is beautiful, new sculptures, bricks, walls, lighthouse. Marina La Paz is by far the best place to dock, everything you could imagine for a marina is there. Since the wind is...

I have been using the Vagabundos del Mar liability insurance for years, good and cheap. I just returned from a trip from San Carlos to La Paz in two weeks. No problem with the gas, but a rip off at Puerto Escondido, 20% extra surcharge... Boat held up great through the 4 day storm out of L.A. Santan...

Thanks for the info. The boat is in dry storage at San Carlos and I am at home waiting for the new tank to come in. The old tank is epoxied and has held for temp. Hopefully the dealer can get the new tank before I return. Anyone with this motor should watch out for smoking, first sign. I have used t...

Mac X Fishing Boat
We use our X for fishing in the Sea of Cortez all of the time, works out great, caught and released many sailfish 5-6' long, a little hard for two of us hanging over the side to get the hook out. Last year caught this shark, couldn't get our favorite lure out, roped it up out of the water until it d...

Thanks but....winches ok.
Thanks for the info. on the quick self tailors. I thinks I will just use the 20-30 year old winch helpers to handle the lines for me. It is just getting the lines right over the winches when you are in a hurry. Installing new selftailing winches seem like a big job unless the holes line up. The quic...
