We had and encounter with a cruise ship in the Bahamas. We were sailing our 26x from Marsh Harbor, Abaco to Key Largo. It was our forth day and we were sailing from Sand Harbor on the southwest side of Abaco to Great Harbor, Berry Islands. It was late afternoon and we were getting close to the Berry...

Owls
I have 2 owls. One has feathers all over it and the other is a regular decoy type but it's head pivots up, down and all around. The feathered one goes on the bow pulpit. The other goes on the pedestal. The first coulpe of weeks seemed to help, but didn't stop all the birds. Then one weekend we arriv...

Inverter
I bought an inverter just like yours from Costco for $70. Wish I'd known they dropped in price; would have gotten another one. The instructions say to only install it flat. Can be upside down, but must be flat. Has to do with proper cooling by the little fan. My computer science son says the little ...

I launch my boat in Spring and pull it out in the Fall. It's on the water for about 4 months. I've been putting 10 oz of Chlorine in the ballast at launch and another 10 oz a couple months later. (Looks like I should put more in) This is my 5th season to do this. No gas or corosion problems. I thoug...

Thanks for the suggestions; this is a great site. I'm going to do a little of all the suggestions and see which combination works best for my situation. There's two Aurora Marine dealers fairly close so I'm going to try Boat Clean and Sure Step. I'm also going to do a section with Soft Scrub and Sur...

Non Skid Mildew
The non skid is getting a lot of black specs of mildew. There's some bad oxidation going on too. Any ideas on products and procedures to remove mildew and oxidation and shine up the non skid?
Thanks,
John

We have pulled our 26x several thousand miles with a 1999 Explorer V6. One round trip from the Denver area to San Carlos, Mexico was 2500 miles round trip. We also moor our boat on a mountain lake duing the summer. I've towed over the continental and mountain passes many times. We always take the OD...

Guess I've been real fortunate. This is our 5th season for our 2000 26x and no leaks. The only water to come in was due to me using a water hose on high and spraying around the front of the companion way hatch. Roger must have been out in the shop watching production the day my boat was put together.

We use a portable propane radiant heater. I think the name is Mr. Heater Buddy. Uses the small propane bottle that you screw on. It has an oxygen sensor that will shut it off if there is a drop in oxygen. This can be a problem at altitudes over 9,500 ft. Our boat is close to this altitude on a Color...
