I couldn't find any reference to that particular Solas prop on the internet, and would sure like to try one out. In the meantime, I really like the idea of the Piranha prop. I'll get it ordered. Thanks Robert and Frank. You have hopefully saved me from spending alot of time on something I'd rather n...

Motor height

After reading http://macgregorsailors.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=3237 and others, It seems the recommended distance from the anti-cavitation plate (top? Bottom?) is approx 1". I used a straight edge and measured mine and it is mounted 1 3/4" below the boat bottom and the top of the anti-cav...

Sukuzi DF50 Prop

I have looked through the archives and and am thinking that a different prop would probably work better but I am feeling utterly confused. Currently. I have the a 11.25 x 9 3-blade aluminum prop and can easily go over the governor limit at WOT. I am thinking perhaps a 12/12.25 x 9 prop, or 12/12.25/...

That's certainly one of the interesting parts of owning this boat (or any other I imagine) is what mods make sense for your own style and desires. Our requirements are certainly different from a lot of the owners on this board. We sail in lakes only (so far), meaning relatively calm water. Only my t...

What works for us is to have an Extreme cooler in the aft dining seat cooler bin, and an IceCube cooler under the table for drinks. What makes the larger cooler convenient is that we moved the plastic hinges from the back to the side. Now opening the cooler doesn't require so much manhandling of the...

Truly a monster. As of 11 EST it is 175 sustained winds with 215 gusts.

I pray for all in that area. Hopefully this will blow itself out a little before landfall.

Much of my education is followed by pulling out the check book.
I too have one of the best educations money can buy.

I have thought back on the economic inefficiencies of my travels through life, but in the end, I can't imagine not doing it this way. What a dull life it would be.

Well, I went ahead and ordered the URM-2 roller. When it came in I had the feeling it was a bit small for the application. I hand held it in place along with the Bull and I didn't like what I saw. Yesterday I drove across the metroplex to the West Marine store (wowzer, what a toy store) and exchange...

I kind of like the idea of the queen size bed netting that will fit over the Bimini and main companionway area. My wife and I like sleeping in the cockpit. For those who went this route, where did you source yours from. Also, what weave do any of you find works best. I would like to keep out the sma...

Eagle Fishstrike 1000c w/GPS Deal

Bass Pro has this unit just reduced. $449 w/o GPS and $499 w/GPS.

Looks like a great deal. Sure the newer models have 640x480 pixels, but they are also 40% more and up.

Anyone have any ideas of why these seem so low?

It gets interesting for sure. 1. Yelling offense. 2. "I don't appreciate your yelling" 3. Denial - "I wasn't yelling" 4. "Yes you were" 5. Fall on the sword - "Your right, I'm sorry, I'll work on not doing that again." . . . 6. Next day - "I didn't apprec...

Ditto here on the wiring for the nav light.

I crawled up to look inside the bow, and I don't see the wires. Must go directly from the stanchion to the inside of the liner.
