I have an AL-KO Kober type of shaft and yes, it needs replacing rubber cord. After 20-30 years or so my dealer told me.

I use the Teleflex 700SS motor control. It’s not perfect, the throttle cable interferes with the battery but it works. There is a control cable called EXTREME made for installations with sharp bends. With that control cable I think it will work just fine. Some time, maybe, I will change the throttle...

I have towed my X without engine a few times with a Volvo V70 of the old generation. The car is rated for 1600kg and he boat is 1680kg with engine so I think it must have inside the legal limits. It has worked just fine but I have replaced the stock axel and suspension with a AL-KO Torsion bar axle ...

I owned a DF6 couple of years ago and it was always working perfectly. I can’t recall it ever stalled. It was also the easiest starting engine I have ever owned. On the dark side the power in reverse gear is nearly nothing, but that maybe doesn’t matter on an inflatable.
