Re: Font for Macgregor 26 name plate

The newer BWY Font looks like good old Times New Roman to me - here it is on MS Word in Bold with raised effect in Word Art.

Re: Sails Built with Integral Solar Panels

Yeah. Totally agreed, this is totally unnecessary. This is the combo DVD/VCR of sailing. If the solar panels fail, do you get new sails, if the sails tear you need alternate charge source. Not to mention - no sailing, no charging. I prefer to let the sun charge my batteries when I'm not sailing, bec...

Re: Gate Valve / ballast fill valve

I want to get this one. It looked more enclosed, like it might survive a bit better in a marine environment.

Re: rudder uphaul lever

That looks like a really cool idea. Nice diagrams too. My only recommendation would be that the Tab that looks like it will rest up against the rudder when pulled up, looks like it might be a weak point. I would consider adding a wedge shaped gusset to strengthen that point - there is likely to be a...

Re: Attaching cockpit cushions

Yes - The PO of my 26X did the same thing and removed and gel-coated over the male screwed in snaps. I don't mind so much because he replaced them with a nice set of closed cell cushions, which are great. If you want to put them back - this is what you need: http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/dot...

Dim Mast mounted Deck Light

Hoping the electricians in the group can point me in the right direction. I have a mast mounted deck/steaming light with wiring coming down the mast to a 4-prong connector which plugs into a receptacle on the deck. The mast is currently in the trailering/storage position and I wanted to test the lig...

Re: Spring Commissioning List Assistance

Nice! I did not see that one in my search. How is the battery operated flush. Is that off the house battery, or does it have it's own batteries?

Spring Commissioning List Assistance

I have a couple of items on my Spring Commissioning list that I would like to run by the group for some assistance. 1) Replace the pee hole on my 2002 Honda BF50, I've read on this board there is a modified part number for this that is a lot larger than the factory hole. I've searched several times ...

Hope to see more soon.

Re: Electric ballast gate valve

On closer inspection,I read the details on the second one and found| "Opens and closes in less than 2 seconds. Manual override if power fails. Fully sealed motor with no external moving parts. Made of aluminum, stainless steel and ABS plastic, so it’s impervious to rust. Includes switch with LED ind...

Re: Electric ballast gate valve

I like it! For the price, I think it would be worth a try, you could disassemble and see if there was any additional waterproofing possible. I would only worry about it seizing up and not being able to get it open.

Re: Additional seats for an x

Maybe for someone small, they look tiny to me. My butt will not fit on that seat :D It looks like it mounts to the railing and the little leg folds out, if that observation is correct, when seated, you would not have any type of back rest or restraint. If you are heeling,I would imagine it would be ...

Re: Any interest in an app that shows engine gauges?

Sounds cool, but expensive. If you could get the telemetry to work at a reasonable price, I would be interested.
