Re: Lightning????

The long and the short of it is that nothing has been proven to work on a boat against lightning. Each bolt of lightning contains up to 1,000,000,000 bolts of electricity. That’s one BILLION :!: I believe years ago I would see Cape Dory’s at boat shows; their advertising let people know that they ha...

Re: New winch for 2007 Al trailer

I replaced my winch with a Fulton F2. Now I have a 2005 steel trailer, but I am sure you can find out if there is a different configuration of mounting screws.

Re: Where is my leak coming from?

Where it is dripping is not necessarily the source. As we all know, water will flow to the area of least resistance. Have you tried feeling, or blotting to find a trail? You say the boat is completely covered with a tarp. Are there any exposed areas? Are there any holes in the tarp? If you saw puddl...

Re: Love me my Honda BF50

I have a 2003 Honda 50 on my 2005 :macm: . The only challenge I have ever had was finding a repair source a few years ago when I noticed there was no pee stream when I started the motor. I was three hundred miles from home. There was only one place to check it out, and it was not close. Honda just d...

Re: Slip storage

Several years ago I read in a post on this site about running a line (outside of the life line Stanchons) from the bow to the stern. It does come in handy both when docking and leaving the dock. On extremely windy days, having that line to use as a handle, was what kept Nice Aft from being blown awa...

Advice needed from 50hp Honda M owners about prop

I needed to get a prop repaired (missing a chunk), but I was told that a new prop is a better idea. OK. I have no problem with that, but before I go ahead, what is the best prop for an :macm: with a 50HP Honda. I have read many post over the years, but I believe most, if not all, did not apply to a ...

Re: Slip storage

I slipped Nice Aft for quite a few years, and never needed a cleat amidship. I will run a line from the bow cleat to the dock, but tie it to the dock slightly astern of the bow cleat. I will run a line from the stern cleat to the dock, but tie it to the dock slightly forward of the stern cleat. I wa...

Re: What's everyone doing about curtains?

It just folds up and clicks into place without need for a bracket. The hinge has a little spring loaded pushbutton that clicks into place either fully up or fully down.
Thanks 8)

Re: What's everyone doing about curtains?

And since I was going on the boat to get curtain photos, I brought a drill and installed the swing-leg under the table. Works perfectly: had to cut a few inches off the leg with a hacksaw, but the rubber foot was simple to pop out and reinstall. https://n1k9ia.bn.files.1drv.com/y4mHrbTa5pRGEpueAuKu...

I still have not seen a reply post from the original poster.

There have been posted a multitude of answers from varried members, but I still want to know what amount of heel is too much.
