I could probably take you.
I wouldn't mind taking my Mac X version on sunday to get it ready for my next trip. If you don't mind pitching in for gas and launch ramp. We would launch from Huntington Beach and we could motor or sail over to the queen mary, or launch at newport and sail over to laguna beach. check out my website...

I plan to go July 3 to 6, If you want to caravan.
I plan to cross from Huntington Harbor to Avalon 5 or 6 am. on July 3rd. You can park your trailer in my backyard or on the side of my house, it is a corner lot for free to save a slip rental. I will use the anchor at avalon since their moorings are never available during holidays. I could help you ...

The Ultimate Dinghy!!!!!!!! Stealth and a dockbox!
:o Check out this Dinghy it has Stealth attack capabilities and the hardcover makes it double as a dockbox. Just imagine walking it across the Isthmus at Two Harbors Catalina and then motoring it down to Little Harbor. I've got to have it, but before I buy it I just wanted to get your guys opinion, ...

I think I can make it
My nephew and his girlfriend are visiting from Illinois and I think they and my wife and I could be there on that weekend. I do love little harbor except for the time when I got beached there because I anchored too shallow and early morning tides and surges slowly bumped me onto the beach. I will ma...

I meant June 16
Thanks for noticing, I did mean June 16. I just realized that conflicts with fathers day so how about Monday June 19 to Thursday 22nd ? We could help each other anchor and get safely to the landing stairs. I hear there is a solar powered ranger station there. It would be fun to visit, maybe it will ...

santa barbara island and catalina June 17 - 20
8) School year ends for me July 16th. Anyone want to go to Santa Barbara Island and see the elephant seals. Leaving on Sat. morning about 7am. the 17th from San Pedro, cabrillo launch ramp, motor over at 11 to 12 knots for a 4 hr run to Santa Barbara Island, anchor, snorkel and go ashore. If the anc...

I thought you mac folks would be nire friendly  I'll have my own fun this summer in an attempt to go to Santa Barbara Island to see the elephant seals. M...

Air Canada commercial has Mac26x?
:o Did my eyes decieve me or did I see a Mac26x :macx: on the Air Canada commercial, the one with celine dion singing the background to promote tourism. It had a nice cockpit enclosure and two people diving off into the water. Does this prove that the X is better than the M? l'm sorry to hear ...

No tether should equal no insurance payout.
Ever since I put my 90 hp on my mac. It is too fast for the wheel pilot. So I end up steering the whole time. I don't mind since it is twice as fast as before. However, now I make it a point to always wear that little red coily tether. I think It should be a requirement for insurance companies. Like...

I was there that weekend on my 26X
That sounds about right description for the way back. 9-15 knots variation due to the swell surfing. I came back Sunday from 4-7pm. The sea was not confused if you headed from west end to huntington beach. It was all down wind and swell. You just had to stay active at the helm. I did notice the olde...

mast in down position the whole trip
I kept the mast in the down position for the whole trip. It does'nt realy get in the way. It is easier to keep it down rather than have to put it down in order to go under the bridge to get out of Huntington harbor. Oh, by the way on our way back into the marina I saw another Mac X heading out witho...

catalina in less than 2 hrs!
I escaped the weekend heat wave by going to catalina with my wife. It was the first time since I put on a 90hp Johnson. I put the other two bolts so now I have four total holding it in place. We averaged 14 kts going to the island in flat seas (no bow crashing). Isthmus was out of moorings so we wen...

two bolts or four?
I just got a great deal on a used 90hp johnson weighing in at about 330 lbs. I put two half inch bolts in the topmost holes (one on each side) and through the transom with a steel plate on the inside of the transom well. (the aluminum plates at lowes were too flexible at the same thickness so I went...

How do you poop while people are sleeping?
I like the mac because you can poop in private while people are sleeping. I guess your not planning any overnighters on the tomcat boat. How did your wife feel about the public porta potti? The best non leaning, poopable, trailerable boat is still the corsair 36 trimaran in my opinion but then again...
