Mike as a member of this board I have been following your various sojourns and must say the admiral and I are very envious of you folks. We have finally moved back home to upstate N.Y. after being away for 40 years. We have just settled down in a new home to us built in 1800 in Fort Miller, N.Y. wit...

Re: Standing Rigging Tension?
So, what is the calculation to determine how high up the mast one installs a new connection point from the original? If the Johnson Lever increases the length of the forestay by 8 inches, how far up the mast does one establish the new connection point?

Gas Treatment
I have consistently used a product called Sea foam for treating the gasoline in BOLD VENTURE'S gas tanks with a great deal of success. There is a product called K100mg fuel treatment that was recommended to me. Has anyone had experience with this product?

Danforth Bulkhead Mounted Compass
We have a Danforth GLOBAL Balance compass mounted to the port side forward cockpit bulkhead on BOLD VENTURE. We need to replace the compass cover. I have found that Danforth is no longer in business. Does anyone have an idea where a cover can be sourced?
Thanks,
Jim

Ray, It certainly was a most enjoyable evening sharing dinner with you, Natalie, Marg, and Rick at the Ridge Terrace. The best time for me was when you took the helm of BOLD VENTURE and allowed me to observe your sailing skills. Thank-you for the lesson that you didn't know you were giving. The Admi...
