Re: Structural differences 26M 2004 vs 2013

I have the 04 model and it spacious inside because of the galley position. I agree, the table is too large and we hardly have it up. I will be replacing it with a small one which I can leave up all the time. Regarding the mast cruch on the pedestal, mine does not have one. I have the arch at the bac...

Re: MacTrawler Myth Busted !

The funny thing is that a mast (without sails up) decreases your chances of capsizing from a breaking wave. The initial inertia it provides keeps u upright for a few seconds longer improving your chances. Hopefully nobody on this board will ever experience that :?

Re: mac vs hunter edge ????

You can look at the Odin too...I believe there is a dealer in Florida. There used to be a dealer in Canada but not sure if they close up shop. The Odin is a power sailor but a bit pricy compared to the Mac but you get what you pay for. I considered getting one as an upgrade to the Mac but there is n...

Re: More Ms than Xs?

i have a 2004 :macm: with fixed galley. At first I was disappointed that it was not the sliding type seen on the marketing video but now I would not change it and it took a few week long cruises with three large men to realize the fixed galley configuration may even be better for my style of cruisin...

Re: Advice on buying new sails

BWY said they have a new custom Square Top Main sail designed for the Macgregor made of 5.5 oz. Dacron...(I am wondering if it is the same one which shipped with the Tatoo 26??) Anyway, I have ordered it to replace my standard mac sail. It should arrive this week and I can give you my thoughts after...

Re: Who has a BBQ? Which one?

I have Sports BBQ Extreme. I just bought my second one last month...it appears to be an improvement over the previous model with better and larger cover too. My first one lasted for 10 years and still works great...the igniter knob did break off 2 years ago so I turned it on using pliers...I wanted ...

Re: Bugs!!

I went out for my first sail of the season in Lake Ontario at Bronte yesterday. There were hardly any bugs around and this was not the case over the weekend when I launched the boat. Yesterday's sail was stunning and I think the summer like weather we are having is killing off the bugs fast. 29 deg ...

I have only received compliments and never needed to defend the Mac. Perhaps it is the smile on my face :D when I talk about the Mac.
