Re: wATER IN CABIN.

...Also while I have your attention Is there a good remedy for repelling mice and spiders during storage beside cedar balls? Thanks such much. We use fabric softener sheets all over the boat. Just toss them about. Never had any rodents and the boat smells nice a fresh in the spring. We also put a s...

Re: Structural differences 26M 2004 vs 2013

...I scrapped the mast crutch that went through the pedestal and installed the arch at the rear of the boat to support the mast when trailering (BY yachts). I too have a 2004 - love the layout - I was thinking of adding the arch because I hate the balance point that makes the mast want to tip back ...

Re: GPS and Depth Finder recommendations

I was looking into GPS/CP/DF a while back and I think I was all but settled on the Raymarine Dragonfly. It has a very good depthfinder/sonar which looks almost like radar imaging of the bottom. It works with Navionic charts so you could get varying levels of details, depending on how much you wanted...

Re: Any 26X / 26S owners close to Oakville, Ontario?

I'm in Ottawa, Ontario - and I have an :macm:. I also used to have an :macx: and before it, an S. In short, I'm neither close nor do I have the model you are seeking, but hey, those are just details... :? :) So you are a loyal fan. Having experience with all 3 models, how would you compare them? :m...

Re: another, prob dumb, prop question Honda 50

I am moving up a little in diameter and shrinking the pitch to a 9. I just did this very change. I have a Honda 50 and went from my four blade (not sure of the size and pitch) and put on a MW 12¼ X 9. Did my first run last night and was very happy with the non-singing. There was some wind maybe 8kt...

Re: another, prob dumb, prop question Honda 50

I too was thinking about re-proppoing. I have a 4-blade singing prop which is really annoying, but runs ok. I also have a 50 Honda and can get about 12-13 knots out of if, ballast out, bottom paint on and mast up. I was thinking og oing to a composite, probably from Pirahna props. You can change out...

Re: Potti Invitations

I am finally getting around to the install of the Marine Traveller head (been a very busy spring). It seems to fit in the space nicely. I was able to get the back end of the integrated holding tank bolted through but the front end lines up with the removable pressboard floor. Mine is held in with so...

Re: Potti Invitations

I literally just removed this exact toilet from :macx: it is just too big, it consumes 80% of the room in my WC and is too tall to be comfortable, I had to have the door open when using it to make room for my right leg, the :macx: has more room than the :macm: for the toilet and I cant imagine how ...

In the big scheme of things, a gallon of urine dumped overboard is a drop in an ocean, literally. It's not poisonous, or hazardous, or polluting. That's true. Though I'm never in...

Have you checked out "Dry Flush" toilets? We have one and are quite impressed with it...well, as much as someone can be impressed with a toilet! Yes, we've looked into that. It does solve some of the issues and would be quite handy, but I think I prefer not lugging around the waste, however nicely ...

Potti Invitations

I have been looking into upgrading the "facilities" in order to get the family out on extended stays, with the admiral onboard. In my searching, I came across the Sealand Marine Traveler Head (711-M28) http://www.dometicsanitation.com/International/PG-6992-Gravity-Flush-Toilets-and-Bidets/MD-51012-V...

Re: Planned Mods For 2015

I would love to get some stern rail seats on . But, Dowsar keeps telling me they are coming in at a later date. Today I found out they won't be in until mid-April. :x They also told me they'd be in in November, then February, and them March. Also, I have to fix my mast cap, on which I had incorrectl...
