First day on the Mac
I'm 2 weeks behind but I thought I would post about my first trip with my Mac. The weather on Sunday (2weeks ago) was sunny but chilly, the wind was blowing steadily from NNW about 5-7 knots. We decided it was time to get the Amelia Maris wet.The plan was for me and my buddy to take it out by oursel...

I do have a question, my buddy's Renken has a fore stay, then another line just for the roller furler. Should I just put the roll...

Re: Sliding Galley for Mac25
I looked at the mods, that looks amazing. Tell me, how does the actual Slding work? Does it just literally slide on the bench or are there rollers? Is there a locking mechnism to hold it in place?

Re: Sliding Galley for Mac25
If you got pictures I would love to see. Where are you going to build the non movable galley. I was think across from the head, or somehow behind the table to the cockpit. I'd like to preserve the settee and a sleeping space since I ll have 3 kids.

Sliding Galley for Mac25
As I mentioned in my earlier post the sliding galley has been removed from the 1986 Mac 25 I purchased, does anyone know where I can purchase another or can someone post pictures of their units. I'm mot interested in the setup that fits into the groove along the settee and how or if it locks into pl...

New Owner in Southeast North Carolina
After years of shopping of around and lurking on this site, I finally pulled the trigger and purchased a new to us 1986 Macgregor 25. The boat is in good clean condition with all coast guard required equipment, depth finder, jib/Geneoa/Main are in good condition, hull has scratches but nothing major...
