Re: T Shirts

Looks like the thread in the pub front room disappeared so I thought I would put the link to the T-shirt company we were discussing in this thread in case anyone in the future wants to know where to get then. The link is https://maritimetees.net/

Ok-- I stared at the signature and didn't get it. My son looked at it for 2 seconds and said "its a sailboat!". Was he right? :?:

Re: Sliding Hatch gap (companionway)

You could do an external canvas cover that Velcro - attached over the hatch gap. Or, you could add an interior gasket out of foam rubber or pipe insulation - similar to what BOAT is suggesting - only more complicated (as is my tendency). https://i.postimg.cc/FsZTcBNn/C2-FBFF10-9646-478-C-9496-A4518...

Re: COVID-19 just got real

I'm wondering what folks are thinking about this coming boating season. Are marinas operating in your area? How about fuel docks? Anyone moving forward with plans for major trips? Covid 19 seems to be a real wild card. What strange times. All New Mexico state parks are closed until April 9. All of ...

Sliding Hatch gap (companionway)

Has anyone figured out a good method for covering the gap between the sliding hatch and the companionway door when the boat is in storage or even between uses? :macm: I continue to get a lot of sand because the wind around here picks it up off the ground and it throws it in to the interior. I’m tryi...

Re: Fun With Ladders

Any reason you couldn't mod the ladder with a strap to serve as a bottom rung? It wouldn't have to hold your full weight - just get you high enough to get your other foot on the first solid rung. And i won't take up any more space when stowed. Thats a great idea! I might even be able to adapt the r...

I just don't bend like I used to. :P
Me either! The rope ladder with rungs was downright comical trying to use it.

Fun With Ladders

I started Boat projects this week. Started with the trailer....found one bearing that had water intrusion so added that to the list. The rest were fine so I moved onto ladder accessories. I had already put the extended ladder on the back from Blue Water Yachts and it helped significantly with gettin...

Re: COVID-19 just got real

It’s our son we worry about most - he’s an EMT in St. Mary’s Hospital’s trauma center in Langhorne. We talk to him by phone and he’s OK for now, but I imagine he will become exposed at some point, if not already. Prayers for your son's health. He's on the front lines and so valuable in his position...

Where exactly is the bilge on :macm: ? Seems like it's got such a flat bottom fumes would be travelling all over the place back and forth.

Re: Seakeeper 1 for boats 23 - 30 feet

If you have about $1,500,000, for the Sabre, the sea keeper is only a small cost. :) I too keep having to remind myself that if you have a $1.5 mill boat the cost of a peripheral system at $15-20k is not a big deal. Not a world I live in but am happy for those that can because it probably makes the...
